What I will do with 1 Million Dollars!

There has been a trending prompt on read.cash about what the users would do if one day, they wake up, and their Crypto Portfolio surged to $590K, which started from @FarmGirl's article.

I wanted to make my own entry too as I already had some things in mind on what I would do if my crypto portfolio pumped to that amount, but after scrolling up and down on my Twitter feed, I saw a tweet from Mr. Whale (@CryptoWhale) asking an almost similar question,

If I were given $1,000,000.00, what is the first thing I would do?

After reading his tweet, I immediately daydreamed and tried to plan and budget on how I will allocate the money well so that it won't just disappear like a bubble.

If I were to convert this amount into Philippine currency, 1Million dollars would be equivalent to 50 Million pesos, if 1 dollar is worth 50 pesos.

This amount is already too huge to make all of my dreams and goals come true. But if I won't be wise in handling this money, this amount is still small and won't make a difference. Thus, if one day, a generous Millionaire or Billionaire will come into my life, and give me this amount of money, this is exactly what and how I will manage every penny of it.

5 Million Pesos for Tithes (10%)

• The first thing I would do is to remove the tithes which are equivalent to 10% or about 5 Million pesos. This is to give back the percentage that belongs to the Lord. It will be handed to the church where I usually attend.

25 Million Pesos for Various Investments (50%)

Because money is hard to earn and keep, I plan to invest 50% of the total money in different investment vehicles to make it grow even more.

• 10 Million pesos from it will be invested in different crypttocurrencies. Surely, half of the 10 million pesos will go to blue-chip coins such as Bitcoin, Etherium, Bitcoin Cash, and others that belong to the Top 20 in the total market cap rankings. And the other half (5 million pesos) would be divided into DeFi coins that could generate Passive income by staking and farming it to the platforms. Perhaps, CAKE will be included in this list.

• 5 Million pesos will also go to real stocks investment. To be safe with my investment, I would choose the blue chips in the Philippine stock market again such as buying shares of SM Investments Corp, Ayala Corporation, Jollibee Foods Corp, JG Summit, and Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI).

• The other 10 Million pesos would be invested in real estates, such as buying a condominium or putting up an apartment in the city that will be rented to the students and employees studying and working in the area. This is to make sure that there is a steady monthly cash inflow.

1.5 Million Pesos for House Renovation

• It's always been my goal to renovate our simple house into a more comfortable and more spacious house. Since our family is small, I only want to have 4 bedrooms in it (1 for my parents, 1 for myself, 1 for my brother, and 1 for a guest room). Of course, there should be a living room, dining room, comfort room in each bedroom, and the main comfort room.

1 Million Pesos for a Beach House

• This is now the best opportunity for me to make my dream beach house a reality. I don't want to have a huge mansion, I just want a simple house that is just a walking distance by the beach. It would serve as a vacation house just in case we want to have an overnight on the beach. The beach house can also be rented as a homestay for tourists who would want to visit our municipality so that the house will still generate an income when I don't live there.

2.5 Million Pesos for Car

• If I were to buy a car, I would choose the Toyota HiAce Super Grandia Van.

• I chose this because it is spacious and it can be used for traveling to far places with family and friends. We could fulfill our travel goals with this one. It is also a good investment because it can be rented for people who also want to travel to far destinations. I can also use it for my dream business, which is a Travel Tours Agency.

5 Million Pesos for Farmland

• Buying land is also a good investment because the value grows over time. I would want to buy a hectare or two of agricultural farmland where different varieties of fruit-bearing trees, vegetables, and rice will be planted, and some animals will be taken care of. This is somehow inspired by Bea Alonzo's farm in Zambales.

• I actually like the idea of making 1 Million pesos from 1 hectare of land in a year, which I've learned when we had an agri-educational tour in PhilRice Institute at Nueva Ecija.

1 Million Pesos for Papa's Retirement Fund

• Of course, a portion of the money will be allocated for my father's retirement fund, and he can use it however he likes. He can use it for his daily needs and buy his wants too.

1 Million Pesos for Mama's Retirement Fund

• Another 1 million pesos would also be given to my mother and she can use it to start a business, buy her daily needs, and also buy her wants.

1 Million Pesos for my Brother's Savings

• Even if we're like a cat and dog, I would also allocate a fund intended for his savings. He can use it however he likes to, but I hope he won't waste it on unimportant things.

1 Million Pesos for my Relatives in Mother's Side

• I chose to distribute the 1 Million pesos to my relatives from my mother's side because they need it more than my relatives from my father's side who are already wealthy.

1 Million Pesos for Donations/Charity Fund

• This will be used to give back the kindness and generosity I received to those who also need it. It will be used for the victims of natural calamities such as typhoons, earthquakes, etc. A portion will also be spent for conducting feeding programs for street children, tree planting, and clean-up drive activities to care for the environment, and some will be donated to non-government organizations that have the same objective as mine.

5 Million Pesos for my Savings and Travel Fund

• 1 Million Pesos of it will serve as my Emergency Fund, in case there will be emergencies. Another 1 million pesos will be for my savings, which I can use for our daily and monthly expenses, and to pamper myself, my parents, and my friends.

• The extra 3 Million pesos will serve as a Travel Fund to tick off all of the local and international places that are on my bucket list. I will travel the world with my parents and loved ones.

And that's exactly how I'm going to spend the 1 Million dollars.

I already have the plans and goals in mind. Now, it's time to find that generous Billionaire who will give me this huge amount of money. Lol 🤣
