Can money buy Love? 2

As in my last article, I discussed how selfish and materialistic the world have become to the extent where something as beautiful as love can be bought. I read through the insightful comments given on the article and I appreciate them all.

So, before I we even talk about how we can reprogram our mind to see through these things, we ought to acknowledge the fact that money is gradually, if not already, taken over the whole world. We do things for money and then blatantly lie ourselves that it's for something else

In the place I live, it is quite common for the parents of a deceased daughter to be offer anothee daughter to her widowed husband if he's rich. When you ask them why they did that they'll lie to themselves saying "he might be remembering his deceased wife when he sees her sister". In most cases they only do so just because he is rich and they want the money to keep flowing in. No other reason other than that! If the husband were poor I really don't think they would have even bothered giving him a second daughter.

Alot of girls these days are only interested in money. They instantly fall in love with you once you are rich. They want a guy with a car, a house, lots of money and anything money can buy. I know it is inherent in our nature as women to get attracted to men who can provide and cater for our needs but when we make this the centre or foundation on which relationship is built, then we have ourselves a problem. This makes guys do unspeakable things to get money so that women will love them, leading to further rottenness of the society as a whole.

How do we solve this? The truth is that we don't have to solve anything. We only try to solve things we do not have an answer to, but this is something whosw answer we know but we still choose to tell ourselves lies. The ability to give true love is a God given one and once we look deeper, we realise that money or materialistic wealth means nothing compared pure, true and unadulterated love.

In extension, this article isn't just about how money and love. It is about money and life. Life is love and love is life. Living a loveless life gives no meaning to life at all so, it'd be very great if we separate and set the limits to which money can influence the decisions and actions we take or make, we should know ourselves and acknowledge the value God places on us, which is beyond all gold, silver, all materialistic substance, money.

Thanks for reading.

I agree with you, I mean of course its nice to be financially stable and all that, money does help solve problems but it isn't the sole essence of life and it shouldn't be the determining factor of genuine or good friendships and relationships. Life is love and love is life and as much as having is essential to sustain oneself, life shouldn't revolve solely around it. Thanks for sharing

They say that money can't buy you love, well maybe because they do not know how to use it.

Money isn't everything and our ladies should know that. Contentment is good and a worthy attribute.

Money isn't suppose to buy love, but these days it seems like only money can buy you eternal love plus absolute loyalty from a lady, and that is if the money is in itself unlimited.

Indeed, love is life and life is love. And I strongly believe money has taken over the world. Truly there is much more to the world/life than money

There’s a thin line between a substance relationship and a genuine one.. it’s so easy to fall for money and then we know the end of it… love stays and doesn't live but what that should be built on is true commitment and purpose..
