Love Triangles

Amorous connections are complicated enough but then we decide to one-sidedly fancy someone and birth a love triangle. Not like we decide it anyway, to some extent you don't decide who would reciprocate your feelings. They are formed with or without your consent.
A love triangle revolves around three people. I have to say, almost everyone I know has been in one including me (sadly my feelings were mostly one-sided growing up).
It's when person A likes person B but person B likes person C, to now complicate the issue completely Person C now likes Person A. Talk about crazy.
I have this auto search thing in my head for love triangles when I read a book or watch a movie. I start to look for possible triangles and I used to get real excited when I spot a love square. I would squeal and make sounds along the lines of 'Awwwwn' to show my excitement and eagerness for what was to come. I used to get disappointed when I read books that don't have this triangle.
A love square revolves around four people, two men, and two women. This is when person A likes person B and person B likes person C and person C likes person D and person D likes person A, talk about complicated.
Most movies and dramas portray love triangles, especially Korean dramas. The heroine of the book likes a guy at first, probably for years or months, without confessing her feelings, and the guy she likes probably likes someone else or is in a relationship. The writers will then introduce a character:the hero, who will like the heroine. There are various ways this could go but these are the major cliché plotlines I could think of at the moment:
1) The hero discovers the heroine likes the other guy and they plan to fake-date to help her get over him and end up falling in love, they deny it at first but later end up dating for real.
2) The hero is the other guy's friend that has been in love with the heroine for years without her knowledge, she probably asks him for help to get together with the other guy and falls in love with the hero instead and discovers he's her one true love.
3) Or the heroine tries to get over the other guy, goes to a club, gets drunk, and sleeps with the hero only to later discover that the hero is the other guy's close friend. She, of course, tries to convince him to keep the fling from his friend and promises to do anything, he then asks her to pretend to be his girlfriend for a while because of his family or to avoid going on a blind date. They keep it up for a while and discover they have feelings for each other and drama ensues and they finally decide to date for real.
4) Or our heroine and hero like each other very much and break end up breaking each other's heart and the other guy or girl that likes the heroine or hero gets heartbroken when the hero and heroine get back together.
The drama before the hero and heroine get together could be that the heroine discovers that the other guy liked her all along and became jealous or the other guy really didn't like her that way because he was used to her being by his side until she wasn't and he discovers that he liked our heroine and tries to get her all to himself.
Our Heroine picks the hero as she admits that she has never loved anyone as she loved the hero and that she thought she was in love with the other guy but she wasn't.
That's just a typical drama triangle, A real triangle would just involve you liking someone, the someone liking someone else and you moving on. The someone else might be jealous or not. Mostly not though cos they never liked you. No one agrees to fake date you in real life.
As Nigerian men think, there are plenty of fishes in the sea, no one pines after someone for years anymore, if you reject them, they move on, much to the dismay of the person playing hard to get.
Thus love triangles in movies and books is greater than love triangle in real-life.
Maybe it isn't, this is just based on what I've experienced.
Have you been in a really crazy love triangle before? The one that'll give kdramas a run for their money.

Love triangle is complicated. I've never been in that situation but as I observed most people doesn't have peace of mind if both of them doesn't low their interest.
