Hello beautiful people!

Hello !Hello! Hello!

Hello read cash world! How are everyone?I hope and pray that everyone has a great day today.

Yesterday ,my brother in law ,gave us a "Saba Banana" i cooked it for our snacks ,and the cooked banana left from our snacks was i take it for my dinner .While eating the banana ,i remembered my childhood days ,everytime we don't had rice for our meals ,my father gathered some foods from his garden ,this kind of foods saved our hungry tummies.

SweetPotato

(Root vegetables)The sweet potato is a dicotyledonous plant that belongs to the bindweed or morning glory family Convolvulaceae. Its large starchy, sweet tasting, tuberous roots are used as a root vegetables, the young shoots and leaves are sometimes eaten as green.

Me and my siblings love sweetpotato especially the "Nilidgid" recipe .It is grated sweetpotato and being wrapped of banana leaves.Every vacation ,we went to a big sweetpotato farm nearby and asked the owner that we gathered some "turok"or the left sweetpotato from harvest.

Sometimes,we sell the nilidgid,so that we can buy a viand .If we had an extra cooking oil ,we used to fried it for snacks

We also used the sweetpotato tops as our viand ,and it also best for "tinuwang isda".

Saba Banana

Is a triploid hybrid banana cultivar originated from the philippines. It is primarily a cooking banaa.Though it can be eaten raw.It is one of the most important banana varieties in the philippines cuisine.

My father planted many saba banana near from our house .Saba banana saved our hungry tummies everytime we dont had rice for our meal.We make it before like a burger,we sliced the cooked banana then put a bagoong or salted small fish ,or ginamos in our dialect.Since we can't afford before to buy a burger .That was our burger before,a banana burger with bagoong. Another banana recipe i loved are ,bananacue and nilupak or smashed cooked banana then added sugar and coconut pulp. Its pretty yummy.

The saba banana leaves upis very useful for us we used as our lunchbox those those days that my mother can't afford to buy a lunchbox,we also used the banana leaves as our umbrella if there was rain .We fitch some drinking water from the banana tree when it rain.

Cassava

Is a nutty-flavored,starchy root vegetable or tuber.Native to South America, its a major source of calories and carbs for people in developing countries. In the United States, cassava is often called yucca and may also be referred to as maniov or Brazillian arrowroot.

My father did'nt allow us to help him in planting and cooking cassava ,coz he said that if we can't plant and cooked it in a right way ,it can make the cassava become poisonous.

The leaves of cassava was our haircurler before hahaha!.Yes it really works ,it can make your hair curly .

There many ways how to cooked or cassava recipe's.You can cooked it with coconut milk and sugar ,you can make it a puto, cassava cake, cabcab, inday inday and etc.

Corn

Also known as Maize,is a cereal grain first domesticated by indigenous people in Southern Mexico about 1000years ago.The leafy stalk of the plant produces pollen inflorescences and separate ovuliferous inflorescences calles ears that yield kernel on seeds which is fruit.(Wikipidea)

Coz my father is so hardworking man ,he planted some root crops and corn for our food .Because he don't had a big rice farm ,so he find way ,an alternative way that he can be able to give us our needs especially the food.

Honestly when i was kid ,i dont like corn ,but now that i'm in adulthood ,gosh! Im looking and i buy some corn when i saw someone selling it in the market.

My final say

My father always told us before"dont complain what you see in the table ,you must be thankful because there is something in the table, may people now are hungry, some of them are sleeping with an empty tummy ,some of them are not eating 3times a day .We are blessed,we must be thankful to our God because even if we are poor but we have something to eat'.

And thats it! Thats the food that saved our hungry tummy .Good thing that we are living in country side and there is a space for my father's garden.

Everytime my son are complaining of what i prepared for our meal ,i always tell him what my father told us for him to learn how important the food that serves in the table.

And thats all for my blog today ,hope you enjoy beautiful people. If you like my article today ,you can hit the like and susbscribe button and upvote if you want😅.

We will survive if we know how to provide for ourselves. It's not always about the food that we buy but it's more about what we plant. That's even healthier.
