95% of water absorbed by trees gets redistributed to areas in need of moisture - OneTreePlanted ©SaveEarth Trees can absorb about 10 gallons of water per 1 inch of trunk diameter during dry weather. And if there is unlimited water, there are records of trees absorbing 150 gallons of water in just a single day. (deeproot.com) Imagine your place when it rains and without trees. Trees improve air and water quality and reduce flooding and soil erosion. They absorb water from the…

Done harvesting again some bitter gourd fruits from our jackfruit! I'm not so aware that it still bear fruits for I'm busy doing online things this week and so most fruits were ripe already when I checked this afternoon. Will cook tomorrow some of it that are still in green color and will keep the seeds of the ripe ones inside the refrigerator after drying for planting next months or next years. Eating this is good for those who stay late at night like me 😉. Good…
BTS If you are BTS Army and you are not eating balut, would you dare to eat one if it is marked with the name of your fave South Korean Band? 'Balut Tsaka Salt' is Sir Othelo Benturado's idea to marked his balut products with BTS. Netizen Laura Angiela Salazar took shots of it and went viral on social media. Some jokingly say that BTS stands also as 'Balut Tatlo Singkwenta' or 3 for P50 haha! Balut is a popular Filipino exotic snack and served commonly everywhere from…
One foggy and chilling Saturday morning on the third day of July mga ka-ingay! Ni-rhyme pa talaga hehe. Sharing with you some foggy photos outside and it's so cold here! I wanna sing tito Jose Mari Chan's Christmas In Our Hearts even if "ber" month is 2 months away because of snowy feels. Our dog Pixie can be seen from afar and she's there with the white babies Hulu and Empress and seem guarding my mom while checking some fruit trees planted last months. Is fog a weather…
A blessed Sunday hoomans! Sharing with you our 1 week old adorable babies from our mama Uganda. She actually had 4 babies but sad to say the only girl was suffocated maybe or was accidentally laid down by her on a shallow ground where she gave birth. That was in the middle of the night and so nobody noticed and checked them so only three boys are alive and they're so noisy! We need to plant more crops, fruits and veggies for we have more guards to feed, haha. But I've heard…
I woke up past 5pm after a few hours of sleep and when I checked BCH, it was on $519. When I was back here in Noise after dinner, there's a trending posts about the new update. So, let's have some treats! Banana chips I made last Friday, homemade pizza made by my sister-in-law yesterday, and "puto" (rice cake) just today. They all meet together today and I just reheated the remaining chips and pizza..but of course there's one who wanted to have these treats first and his…
Heatwaves caused wildfires and sudden death of hundreds of people in British Colombia and Canada last June 30, 2021. ( The Globe and Mail) Phreatomagmatic eruption of Taal Volcano in Talisay and San Nicolas Batangas, Philippines last July 1, 2021. More than 3,000 residents from high-risk villages evacuated and Phivolcs place Taal Volcano on alert Level 3. It's raining since morning until now from light to moderate rain but I'm still in sweat, grabeh. So I need to eat this homemade avocado ice cream I made yesterday after dinner. It's rainy season already but due to climate change, we still need more rain to plant rice and sad to think that our hope for now is the rain that the incoming tropical depression Emong may bring tonight and tomorrow. Signal No. 1 was raised in Batanes and Cagayan. Another approaching storm was…
Please excuse me if I will let you feel hungry right now. It's raining again due to storm Emong and so eating while doing online and watching the raindrops from the window is perfect! There is already a chill on my feet now but I can still feel a little warm on my face and back. Ganun lang siguro if makapal ang mukha di pa natablan ng lamig 🤣. I'm only eating the "puto" or rice cake and casava cake or whatever my other sister-in-law from the other side of the hill calls it.…
It's almost 12mn and I'm about to sleep but let me share you first this amazing orchid posted from one of my Plant Groups. It was said on the post that it is Ballerina Orchid and I did check it on Google and its scientific name is Caladenia Melanema. Its origin was in Southeastern Australia, near Lake Altham and is considered as exotic and rare specie. I only knew Dracula simia or monkey orchid but not this Ballerina and hoping to find these both somewhere here in our area.…
I should have posted what made me busy this afternoon but I can't upload photos due to my super fast internet connection, haha! It made me sleepy while waiting. And since we can see BCH now in green again at $528.58 , I will tell you something green. It was what I have read last weeks about okra or Ladies' Finger. Okra from the Philippines is now in South Korea. It was the first commercial shipment with an initial batch of 1,200 kilograms. (GMA News) South Koreans will now…
It's a sweet chili hot afternoon Noisy People! The weather is so unpredictable right now but one thing is for sure, the world is so hot, hot, hot, whether it is rainy season or not. But whatever weather we have, we still love to eat food that is something sweet and hot. Like these sweet and chili peppers we have in recycled pots. Bell peppers and chili peppers are considered as fruits and member of the nightshade (Solanaceae) family and related to eggplants, cherries and…
I always believe that there is a right time for everything and so this is the right time to post yummylicious food made from dragon fruit. Not so sweet, and not spicy like my sweet/chili pepper post yesterday. I made wool roll bread with dragon fruit fillings with "The Pink Team" last Wednesdays and lasted for less than 24 hours and dragon fruit ice cream was made yesterday. And so they only met here in photos this Friday, haha! I should have shared photos about bread last…
Happy lunch time for us here on the opposite side of the world! Hope you're eating healthy food and with water only not COLD softdrinks or CANNED juices for remember, your body is the TEMPLE of the Holy Spirit. You/we should take care of it. And I will share with you this very important reminders to ourselves. ©Marriage Builders Page on Facebook. ❤️TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY PART💚 1. The STOMACH is injured when you do not have breakfast in the morning. 2. The KIDNEYS are injured…
It's snack time! My post earlier was a reminder not to injure our body parts and so instead of eating ice cream alone, I will eat the remaining dragon fruit ice cream as "palaman" for "pan de sal" and just paired it with water and lemon. I don't want my parents to eat a lot of this because it has sugar and so 1/2 cup each for them is enough and I will eat the rest. As we all know lemon has some health benefits if we consume it like for the skin, it will help in maintaining a…
About 8.9% of the world's population or 690 million people go to bed on an empty stomach every night according to United Nations food agencies. If hunger continues and we can't make ways to lessen this problem, it will exceed to 840 million in the next 9 years. The United Nations Sustainable Development calls for hunger to end by 2030 but unfortunately, the world is not on track to achieve it for world hunger is still on the rise considering the effects of this pandemic that…
Let's take a break from the ugly sides of politics, climate change, and pandemic and have a look at the inside and out beauty of these ladies. Our province has now again candidates for different national beauty pageant competitions like Miss World Philippines (Ann), Miss Universe Philippines ( Kesha), Miss Earth ( Rocel Angelah), and Binibining Pilipinas (Karen Laurrie). Tonight July 11, 2021 is the night of Karen Laurrie for Binibining Pilipinas, July 21, 2021 for Ann in…
My topic last time was about hunger and most shocking foods people forced to eat in some countries and yes, including my beloved country. And we know a lot of reasons why hunger keeps on rising especially in these times but as what I always say to almost everyone I meet even before this crisis happened, is to learn to grow your own food to survive. I don't want to talk about how greed and corrupt, how rich and poor others and what we can do to make it equal for us, we'll…
57th Binibining Pilipinas Coronation Night was held last July 11, 2021 and a tricky question of Boy Abunda to our Binibini Candidate Karen Mendoza during the Q&A went viral. A lot of Filipinos tried to answer the question with okay or not okay but sure funny answers like what social media influencer Ericka or known as Miss Everything did. The question was, "When is it okay not to be okay? And when is it not okay to be not okay?" and Miss Everything's answer will make you…
Challenge accepted..in advance hehe. But this time it has a prize! For sure you have a notification already about it and it's another surprise for us. Thank you noise.cash! Sharing some BCH is caring. ❤️💚
Guys please be careful when sending tru qr code. For those who are not familiar or haven't tried using qr code yet, please check carefully the amount you want to send if you don't want to send all your funds to someone like what happened to me hehe. She gave me all her money hehe but don't worry my dear, I'll send it back to you.
My snacks earlier, wheat bread with dragon fruit and langka (jackfruit) jam. I just put some lemon extract, pandan leaves, a little salt and sugar and boil. We can't consume it fast since only few of us eat dragon fruit and jackfruit and so I need to preserve it. This will last for 1 or 2 weeks for me and so no need to buy sandwich spreads. Food preservation is important especially in these times to keep it longer and to reduce food waste. 🍯🍞
I would have enjoyed eating these fruits now aside from santol or cotton fruit but sad to say, it's just a throwback photos of our lanzones and rambutan from last year. I don't know why they did not bear fruits this year. I thought because of climate change or the absence of pollinators and so I asked my agriculture classmate and my other classmate, Google. And yes, they have the same answers, haha! The most common reason why fruit trees do not bear fruit the next year or…
Climate scientists were shocked by floodings in Belgium and Germany that killed hundreds of people already and left many missing and thousands of homeless. Floods and mudslides in Southern and Eastern China. Floods in Mindanao in the Philippines, all happened just this month and here in our place, we are still waiting for the rain. My photos below where shots few days ago of a foggy morning that caused me a slight headache until now and a short rain just this afternoon. Sun…
When you saw twin photos, twin contents and even usernames are like twin names and are both earning? Wow na wow kalabaw 😅 #NoiseCash
Finally, Paytaca is now available in Google Play Store for Android users and since I'm always excited for it everytime I saw an update in Twitter or at MyHero's updates, I already installed the app. It's still on beta testing so DON'T PUT all your BCH in it. If you are curious about this app, try to install it and register your name, email (optional), and mobile number (optional) and please do not forget to COPY or write down your Mnemonic Backup Phrase on a piece of paper…
My unplanned tour again in the woods last Saturday made me realized how blessed we are to be still covered with trees against the intense heat of the sun in summer days, and floods and strong winds in these typhoon seasons. I was actually looking for my mama for she suddenly disappeared here at house only to find out she's in the woods checking some fruit trees. She's always guarded by our 3 babies Pixie, Hulu, and Empress. I should've scolded her (I'm the mom now 😅) for…
When white "tambis" (Visayan language) or Watery Rose/Java Rose Apple met Red Delicious and Green or Granny Smith Apple. My sister-in-law bought red and green apples last week as a request but since I was undecided whether to make an apple pie or to eat it raw, I just keep it inside the refrigerator. Until Saturday came and my brother brought some White Rose Apples. I never tried eating these fruits before and I'm not that sure also what to do with it so I thought of making…
Eating fruits everyday is the best way to improve our health and may reduce our risk of diseases like diabetes, cancer, and heart diseases. So, if we have the chance to eat different kinds of fruits everyday and if it is home grown, the better especially in this time that we don't know what variant will come out (late) again after Delta variant. Our santol fruits are almost ripe and so we have now a sweet and sour vitamins after dragon fruits. The tree is as high as 3-storey…
We experience increase in temperature, droughts, insect outbreaks, low agricultural productions, wildfires, floods and soil erosions, health problems due to sudden change of weather, and decrease in water supplies because of climate change. It's the biggest threat we face and according to WHO between 2030-2050, this change in climate is expected to cause approximately 250,000 more deaths per year. From heat stress, malaria, diarrhea, malnutrition, and natural disasters. We…
Been busy roaming around the virtual world talking to former classmates/schoolmates and relatives. Our topics were about new covid variants, vaccines, China gene editing, agriculture, climate change, and BCH while eating my homemade pasta again with fresh from the garden tomatoes and bell pepper. Cabbage and chayote were from the last stocks bought last weeks. I cooked this yesterday afternoon for dinner but I kept half of it inside the refrigerator for today. We were…
"Good health is above wealth." Do you agree with this, especially in this time of coronavirus and climate change? As I've said few days ago, IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) stated that global emissions must be reduced into half by 2030 to fight 1.5°C increase in temperature. If we don't stop or lessen the effects, the risk of more heavy rainfalls, floodings, soil erosions, malaria, health stress and malnutrition will also increase. And eating fruits and…
Rainy/Sunny afternoon or morning everyone. Sharing with you my lunch earlier. Boiled string beans with squash, palawan or giant swamp taro corm, and saluyot or jute leaves, adobong kangkong or water spinach, and homemade dragon fruit ice cream again from my sister-in-law as my dessert. I eat a lot but it's always of organic fruits and veggies and no meat so less worries of getting bigger and always confident to fight covid with natural foods than having a controversial…
Merienda time na! For sure karamihan sa atin ay gutom na sa buong araw na gawain at kahit ako ay gutom nga eh kahit nakaupo lang lagi. Nakakagutom at nakakapagod ang init eh as in super init dito while sa news puro baha sa ibang lugar. Kaya after ko mag post nito mag work muna ako sa garden at need ko check ang aming fruit trees, peanuts and corns baka inubos na ng mga snails and uod. Pili lang kayo jan. We have dried pineapple candy at binigyan kami ng uncle namin ng mga…
