My unplanned tour again in the woods last Saturday made me realized how blessed we are to be still covered with trees against the intense heat of the sun in summer days, and floods and strong winds in these typhoon seasons. I was actually looking for my mama for she suddenly disappeared here at house only to find out she's in the woods checking some fruit trees. She's always guarded by our 3 babies Pixie, Hulu, and Empress. I should've scolded her (I'm the mom now 😅) for she's not allowed to walk far from our sight because of her operation but you know, olds are hard-headed most of the times. My last visit in the woods were last year on the same month I think and I never noticed some of these trees I'm touching in the photos were already bigger than me. Though most of these are not native trees, they still absorb more water from the soil and provide free oxygen, free aircon and shelter to many birds and bees that are important in plant production as seed dispersers and pollinators.
