I would have enjoyed eating these fruits now aside from santol or cotton fruit but sad to say, it's just a throwback photos of our lanzones and rambutan from last year. I don't know why they did not bear fruits this year. I thought because of climate change or the absence of pollinators and so I asked my agriculture classmate and my other classmate, Google. And yes, they have the same answers, haha! The most common reason why fruit trees do not bear fruit the next year or two is because of the effect of last year's crop. Heavy produce the previous year can reduce the formation of flower for the next year by preventing formation of flower. Fruit trees may bear in two-year cycle and could bear abundantly this year and less next year or nothing like what happened to our fruit trees now. But it's okay, we still have santol that is abundant with fruits..though I don't eat much of it. Just like here in Noise, our hearts may have high value now, and will have low or no value for the next hours but it comes back after 1 or two days. Haha, kinonek sa fruit trees? Good evening/morning Noisy People! 🙏
