God created us in his image and representation. No one has any right to mock another's body frame or size. Why on earth would you make someone feel bad about their physique when it doesn't bother you at all. Because your anatomy is very different from theirs doesn't make you better than them.

Using awful names like fatty, skinny, shorty to describe a person when you aware it would hurt is very insentivity and irresponsible. Well, its no news that such body shaming affect the self-esteem and confidence of a lot of folks especially the females who are more emotional and easily broken.

For a long time, I have always known that when people enjoy making a mockery of someone for absolutely no justifiable reason at all, then there must be something great about that person that is yet to be discovered. Rather than succumb to such travesties, they should serve as nothing short of motivation for the rapid growth and development of the individual .

Sometimes ago, I was watching an interview of a highly successful model on BBC. This young lady revealed that when she was in high school, she suffered from a lot of physical and psycological bully from her mates because of her skinny nature. Almost everyone in class ( including the newcomers) would want to pick on her or disrespect her because of her small stature.

She would always find comfort and solace in a teacher who was friendly with her since she was quite a brilliant kid. Her teacher encouraged her to consider the positives of her physique instead. He told her that she had the rare previledge of eating every food in the whole world without getting fat, and this ofcourse made her laugh. He also made her realize that she wouldn't age as fast as the rest of her mates. "Because of your tiny stature, you would still be looking twenty even when you are over thirty". Her teacher continued to inspire her till she discovered her talent. Today she's one of the most successful supermodels in the world and far more fortunate than all the girls who once mocked her.

The taller basketball players all laughed at muggsy bogues. They all thought they were better than him because of his extreme shortness. But muggsy had a burning desire to play basketball at championship level and he was determined never to listen to the cristicism and noise of the people that didn't matter. As a matter of fact muggsy was the shortest player ever to play in the NBA. But he never saw this as a handicap but a source of strength. His quickness and intelligence enabled him to swiftly snatch the ball from much more taller players who underrated him to the amusement of the crowd. Needless to say, muggsy's admirers and fans grew rapidly over the years. During his career,he had more impressive stats than hundreds of taller NBA players and he commanded more respect.

There's this girl I have known for a longtime now. The first thing that strikes you when you see her is the enormous body fat. She wears a sad look which always tell that she's definitely not comfortable with her build. She's mostly sitting or walking alone most of the since other girls would want to make fun of her figure. Later on, she was involved in a terrible accident which she miraculously survived. The doctor revealed that her body fats shielded her vital organs by absorbing most of the trauma at the time of the accident. The doctor was Quite sure that if it were any other person, death would be inevitable.

This young lady is now happily married with a kid. During her years of being single, she was always under the impression that men would find her gross weight repulsive. She forgot that one man's poison is another man's meat. Lol .

CONCLUSION

We should never compromise ourselves just because others dont like the look of us. No Matter what you look like, look into the mirror morning and tell the person you see there that you are the best personin the sight of God. You are much more good looking than any other created being. Never compromise yourself. You are all that you have got, everyone else is already taken. If you fail to love yourself who will?
