Greece is not just sand and sea, but a beautiful country full of mysteries and secrets that need to be revealed. Every time you go to a country or city, you should make the most of your adventurous spirit, and discover all the hidden charms of that country.

One of those places is the Meteora Massif, Thessaloniki

The Pind Mountains, on their peaks and slopes, hide the complex of the Meteora monastery. This place is considered a natural wonder for at least two reasons. First of all, the mountains themselves are unusual, shaped by rock formations that take on various fantastic shapes. Second, monasteries built on their inaccessible peaks leave the impression that they are in the air. The first monastery was founded in the 14th century. According to legend, it was built by Saint Anastasia, who reached the top of the mountain on the back of an eagle. In the following decades, similar monasteries were built. To date, only a few remain in good condition.
