It's Sunday!

That means another day had passed and another week is ending. It also means another day had been added to our age and we are getting older.

Life is short. Time flies quickly. At this moment we are still young but in just a moment that passed, we were enjoying our retirement. Therefore, as we spent our life here on Earth, we should live with no regrets and cherish every moment of it.

By the means of cherishing a moment in our life, we are currently celebrating an advanced birthday party for our Madam CEO. It's supposedly her 72nd birthday tomorrow but she has an important meeting with her clients, so we just agreed to set the party in advance. The original plan is to dine outside with her favorite restaurant. Since it's raining hard these past few days, it was canceled. The venue is moved into our home.

She thought that we should just cook our food for the feast at home so she instructs us to make it simple. Little did she know that even though the plan wasn't followed accordingly, we have a Plan B.

While they were preparing to set up their surprise, I offered to do her Hot Oil Treatment for her hair to avert her attention. I don't why we're still calling this hot oil treatment since we're not even heating the coconut oil before applying. I never experienced being treated with this in a hair salon so I surely don't have any idea. She was the one who taught me how to do this.

It's quite easy. First, apply the oil to the scalp all over your head. Second, apply the oil to the rest of your hair. Third, massage the scalp so the oil will initially be absorbed. Fourth, tie your hair and put on a shower cap. Lastly, let it be soaked for 2️⃣ hours before you can take a bath.

After she took a bath, there's flower delivery. At first, we were reluctant to claim it at the guard post wherein the Lalamove rider was waiting for the signature. We didn't know that it was a flower at first since it was put inside a long rectangular box with no details of who and where it comes from.

There are some issues that are circulating in the city about those scam orders which they would order on a COD deal, then send the items to you without you knowing. This is a pretty bad prank for a rider and the receiver. Good thing, the sender texted her at the right timing.

I put it in our vase when we get back home.

I don't know what is the name of this flower but I like it. The smell is also nice and strong. Its smell occupied the room and subdued the smell of the air freshener.

In a little while, the other family had arrived. They brought their surprises and presented them to her. She almost cried when she saw the gifts and the food they catered but she burst into laughter when she finally noticed that we all wear red shirts except for her who wears a blue silk dress.

They also brought 3️⃣ cakes – caramel, chocolate, and strawberry. I have only tasted the caramel since the other pieces are distributed to the other housemates.

I just want to flex it here because I liked this icing flower decoration.

After eating, we agreed on a toast but since drinking alcohol is prohibited inside the household, we used an alternative. We brewed in Chrysanthemum buds in the tea kettle. I honestly don't like the taste since I'm used to drinking Green tea and Ginger tea.

CLOSING THOUGHTS

I admire Madam a lot. Aside from being the highly respectable woman in the office, she is also a loving and caring mother to all of us. She always reminds us to save our money, take our vitamins, take care of ourselves when we go outside, and monitor us when we get sick. Of all the things that she had helped us with, I can only wish her all the best and pray that God will bless her more.
