Reunited and brought home the bacon

P.S: This article was written yesterday evening but due to low intermittence, I have to published it this morning...

Mabuhay!!! It's raining cats and dogs here but I kinda like nippy evenings though, how about you?

Tonight, I will just share to you my experience earlier this afternoon and it was indeed a very fun and challenging one. Most of you already know that I am a volleyball player since grade school. I fell in love with this sport because my cousins influenced me to join the volleyball team during my elementary days.

So much for that, our municipal elected mayor initiated a volleyball league for girls only. We grabbed the opportunity to join the said league for the reason that the prize is too good to be true.

Champion - 15,000

1st place - 10,000

2nd place - 5,000

We just tried our luck and contacted all our co-players whom we played with back then. Mind you guys, almost of my teammates were already married and some of them were not able to join even though they wanted to play badly. Maliliit pa kasi mga anak nila at hindi na raw nila kayang makipagsabayan sa aming mga natitirang players.

This afternoon we attended the screening /opening program before we proceed to the actual game. We didn't wore any sports attire since it was just a short program. I was so happy to meet some of my former co-teammates, but sad to say we have to compete and aim for the victory with our respective teams. Unfortunately, after the overall screening, the committee announced that our team was chosen by the other team to play with for the first game. We find it so unfair because we thought that we will not play this afternoon since the initial announcement was just to participate during the opening program besides we don't wore any sports attire too, dapat yung ibang team na nakasports attire nalang kinalaban nila hay naku.

We tried our best to reject the said proposal of the other team who belittled us (sila kasi nagsabi sa committee na willing daw kami na makiglaban sa kanila kahit wala naman kaming sinabi). Obviously, we don't have a choice but to accept the decision of the committee or else we will lose automatically.

We head home first to wear our sports attire and went straight to the game spot. The game has started immediately, and my teammates appointed me as their Captain ball. The pressure is on since I was the first server. I tried my best to perform well, and luckily I scored five due to my service aces. We continued the momentum and guess what my teammates were doing great as well. The cooperation, the skills, and teamwork was still there . We nailed the first set and obviously the other team was wearing a mopey face when they lose, however they were able to win in the second set.

And in the third or the last set of the game, the intense battle had began. We were all stressed out with our score (My team: 2 opposing team:8). Fortunately, we haven't felt any slightest frustration hence we just smiled and cheered each other, and guess what we WON!!!!!

It was indeed a great experience for us because aside from being reunited again we were able to bring home the bacon even though we don't see each other much, and haven't played for a very long time. It was indeed a nice game. Just so you know guys, the losing team is one of the most powerful in our bracket and we even want to back out because we thought that we can't lose them down.

Thank you Lord! Effective talaga yung ginawa ko kanina haha habang nagbibihis kasi ako nagprpray ako while declaring our victory. Grabe that was so fun and exciting kahit nanginginig naku sa nerbyos. My friend Annie treated us after our glorious victory char. Thank you Kiday❣️
