Guys you've seen many posts related to BCHN and BitcoinCashABC now-a-days in 'Hot' section of Read Cash & the posts are written by very popular personalities in BCH world including @RogerVer & by @Cain @Telesfor and many more but I personally think that most of the people here at RC aren't from technical background and they didn't understand what is this going on and what the hell is this BCHN & BitcoinABC rivalry π
So as @georgedonnelly said in his one of the article that we should create more 'quality' (my addition) media about BCH which will help the growth of BCH Community & BCH itself. So in order to make new or nontechnical people familiar with BCH related technologies, this is my honest attempt to do that. So without making delay, let's dive in...
What Is BCHN & What's The Reason Behind It's Origin ?
The BCHN stands for 'BitcoinCash Node' and it's a open source codebase for a new full node project which has been rebranded from Bitcoin ABC, which is also a full node implementation of Bitcoin Cash protocol.
(These nodes are related to the mining of specific cryptocurrency, I'll explain in my future article)
The Beginning
On 15th May 2020 the Bitcoin ABC released the upgraded version 0.21.0 client, which includes some serious controversial changes to the BCH coin issuance, under which proposed that the miners of coin will have to pay 8% of all minted coins to a development fund from November (I didn't understand why they call it 'donation' π) And this thing is going to hit Bitcoin businesses, miners, mining pools and eventually the whole BCH community. In my opinion this upgraded version and it's controversies would destroyed the vision and the purpose of the origin of BCH.
So to tackle this serious threat for the future of BCH, the developer community of the BCH and also some developers from Bitcoin ABC including the 'FreeTrader' (he's one of the original BCH developer and also a former BitcoinABC developer) The new client i.e Bitcoin Cash Node (BCHN) isn't completely different from the upgraded version of the client of Bitcoin ABC, the difference will be the removal of the coinbase reward diversion code and its associated signaling and activation.
Goals of BCHN Project
The goals of the BCHN are listed on their official page but still I'll list some of the main goals here :
1) Short Term Goals
Establish a professional mining node which listens to feedback and delivers measurable improvements.
Provide well researched for consensus rule enhancements regarding DAA, 0-conf and script improvements.
2) Medium & Long Term Goals
Demonstrate evidence based, collaborative decision making on consensus changes.
Demonstrate sustainable client development based on wide ecosystem input and a transparent, voluntary funding model.
Raise awareness that BCH must remain permissionless, useful and affordable to use in order to become the best money in the world.
These are the few goals listed on the official website of BCHN, I thought these are the main and easy to understand, that's why I put them as it is.
Supporters & Contributers Of BCHN

Now you can imagine that the need of the project and it's importance in the future of BCH. My personal opinion on this situation is that, this is the time where the future of BCH will be decided. And the success or failure of this project will decide & shapes the future of BCH.
Recent Updates On BCHN Project
From the latest updates from the BCHN the fund raising campaign for the project on Flipstarter has been successfully completed before 12 days of time limitations.
Congratulations π to the team for completing the very first step successfully.
Initially the project wasn't accepting donations in SLP (Simple Ledger Protocol) coins and lots of members were asking about it. Now the team behind the project has been solved the issue and now people can donate their SLP tokens to the following address.

So friends this is it from my side, I hope you liked this article and it helped you understand the current war going on in BCH community and trust me this is the time which decides the future of Bitcoin Cash.
Let's hope for the best and promote BCH...!!
The most simple and clear explanation of the problem I've heard so far. Big up
