Let's know the genuine PA.

Some words , abbreviations becomes part of our conversations unconsciously but when we comes to know it's right meaning then only gets true usage. The words on our daily routine is not possible to change quickly because we are use to of them .
The abbreviation of PA known mostly as personal assistant in offices , with politicians , govt sector . Where commonly or to be a Vogue such known a person who help his boss to manage / characterise / Archive the things , schedule and minutes.
The only , authentic , certified , degree holder PA is Physician Assistant. It is in health care department. Even he is not doctor but he works under supervision of any Physician / certified doctor / sergon.
It is never easy to be a PA. It requires at least first class degree in HSSC or bachelor with science subjects. Then he has to apply for physician assistant course in any medical college. According to PMC ( PAKISTAN MEDICAL COMMISSION) It has three year period to complete it with minimum one year practice in any recognise hospital.
PA can diagnose , observe symptoms , check & refer for lab tests , basic health check ups like BP and sugars. He can serve in absence of duty doctor but only emergency and can refer to other doctors but can't do any surgery , inject medicine or prescription writing.
This PA program got existence in world war 11 when Japanese jets hits pearl harbor and a emergency announced. Doctors were not enough to perform duties. Some went sick due to long duty hours. Then health department & college of sergons of shicago approved this semi doctor degree and give it name of physician assistant.
He is responsible for updated data of patients. Help out doctor in operation theatre , care to diet of patients , recheck visit plan , initial medical check up , rack up the record and check up of lab tests.
PA can go for further specialisation like ultrasound , chemical analysis , x-ray , CT scan , organic medicine and biochemistry.
He can't use the word " doctor" with his name but unfortunately here in third world like Pakistan no one cares it . Drug inspectors , health care authority didn't care about it. Even in some parts as remote rural areas then opened their own hospital which is always risky for public but unawareness , illiteracy , inflation , high fees of authentic Physician making easy job for them.
Untill yesterday I also knows PA only for personal assistant but the genuine , degree holder , verified and confirmed PA is Physician Assistant.
