I think it was too much for a beginner. I mean, I haven't done this for two years. I guess I just got excited with the machine and made too many repetitions. It's funny, I thought it would be my KNEE the one giving me trouble. 😂
The good news is that my friend Frank started his project as an Online Personal Trainer last year. I'm gonna contact him to design a custom routine for me not to get hurt again. I know, I should have thought on this before. But, hey! I finally found where to use those few Paypal bucks I earned doing transcriptions. 😂
My goal is to climb The 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙖'𝙤 (see the picture below) before january. So I have to be more carefuly from now on.

I like going to run before sunset, it helps me get to sleep at night. But these two years I stopped doing it because of the quarantine and my university classes. Today I started again and I feel great.
Long time ago I used to go swimming with my cousins. I prefer swimming over running because I sweat less, but I have no idea if that place is still working these days, or how much does it cost. I think it would be awesome living near a beach, I could do both running and swimming.

I just noticed that when I'm waking up, my brain starts switching between english and spanish. Like if I couldn't coordinate my thoughts with my hands, I was having trouble finishing a four lines english post about food and it was like:
Sentence 1 in spanish + sentence 2 in english + sentence 3 spanish again...🇺🇸🇪🇸🇺🇸🇪🇸🇺🇸
It took me half an hour to fix all that mess.😂 But I'm glad 'cause this means that I'm finally thinking in english.
That also reminded me of what happens to my friend when he wakes up at 1:00am and his romanian accent surfaces. He says that is "ze Boris".😂😂😂

Today I tried to prepare a recipe from my friend Yuta. He made some kind of lasagna, but with rice; he calls it "Japanese-Italian food". I just made a slight change 'cause I didn't have all the ingredients; I also added some broccoli. And now it is ready to bake it with pasta. Sorry, Yuta for taking out the japanese part off of your recipe. But sure it will still be delicious. 😂頂きます🍜

¿Se han fijado que algunos personajes de libros parecen estar escritos para un actor específico?
Siempre que leo un libro suelo asignarle un actor real a cada personaje según me vaya pareciendo su personalidad. Cuando leí "𝘼́𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙮 𝘿𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙨" de 𝗗𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻, aún no había visto la película correspondiente, sólo la primera; por lo que 𝗧𝗼𝗺 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 ya tenía su papel asignado sin tener que pensarlo. Luego, al cura (camarlengo) 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘰 𝘝𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘢 le asigné de actor a 𝗘𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗰𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿 —𝘖𝘣𝘪 𝘞𝘢𝘯 𝘒𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘣𝘪, por si a alguien no les suena el nombre😂— y años después, al ver la película, me hizo gracia ver que él precisamente interpretó al cura, aunque cambiaron el nombre del personaje por 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘔𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘯𝘯𝘢.
Claro, quizá éso fue simple casualidad. Pero, hay que admitir que la forma de ser de algunos actores se ajusta perfectamente a algunos personajes. Pienso lo mismo sobre algunos en el elenco de 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿.

Últimamente tengo la sensación de que mi vida está mejorando. No porque haya habido un cambio significativo o porque mis problemas se hayan solucionado, es más bien un cambio en mi actitud. Comienzo a retomar ése rumbo que perdí —o que comencé a perder— hace un par de años.
Todo éste tiempo desde que inició la cuarentena, incluso antes, me vi rodeada de tragedias. Me enfrentado a un tipo de dolor que no conocía y sobre el que no sé si algún día seré capaz de hablar abiertamente. Estuve confundida, sintiendo que mis problemas no le importaban a la gente, y en muchos casos resultó ser así. No quería ser la nube negra del grupo, y terminé aislándome. Por suerte, también conocí a gente que ha sabido ayudarme.
Hace poco me propuse seguir una rutina, la llamé "Healthy Sand". Consiste en un horario para cada una de mis tareas, hobbies, ejercicio físico... Incluso una hora exacta para tomar agua (tengo la mala costumbre de olvidar tomarla hasta por un día entero). Aunque al principio me faltó constancia, ahora es algo cotidiano. Cambiar un poco mi apariencia física también me ha ayudado. En general, creo que está dando resultado. Me he enfocado en aprender cosas que siempre he querido saber y que había abandonado, y otras que nunca pensé llegarían a gustarme. He dejado de pensar en que ya no tengo tiempo (o edad) para hacer ésto o lo otro, de compararme con los demás y, también, de preocuparme por cosas que yo no puedo resolver o cambiar.
Aún tengo mucho de lo qué recuperarme, pero hoy por fin, me sentí diferente.
Incluso, recuperé mis ganas de escribir.

So, I posted a comment using that verb in a sentence:

The thing is that what I thought was the correct conjugation (using the 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘫𝘶𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘴 I've learned) he told me it was different for this particular verb:
It turns out that переборщить [𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁'] it's an informal verb that doesn't have 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘛𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦, that's why I couldn't find it in any of the books that I have.📚🤔
So if we need to use it on a 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘛𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 sentence, we have to change it for this similar verb 👉перебарщивать [𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁']

Pensaba en un post para hoy y recordé un episodio de terror que me ocurrió un octubre, hace diez años:
Estaba en casa de una amiga, con un grupo de compañeros de clase. Preparábamos el proyecto final de 5° Año. Sin darme cuenta se hizo de noche. La mayoría de los muchachos vivía en dirección opuesta a la mía, sólo Evelyn y yo teníamos la misma ruta hacia el centro, así que caminamos juntas hasta la parada de autobús.
Las calles estaban completamente oscuras y sólo podíamos guiarnos por las luces de los carros, caminamos rápido. Al llegar a la parada no había casi gente. Esperamos. Por la hora, ya no llegaban autobuses, sólo carritos por puesto*, todos llenos. Ya eran casi las 8:00pm cuando llegó un carrito con un sólo puesto desocupado. Como Evelyn vivía más lejos, dejé que ella subiera primero, nos despedimos y yo seguí esperando.
Pasaron alrededor de diez minutos cuando tomé mi teléfono y empecé a escribirle un mensaje de texto a mi hermana para avisarle que iba a tener que caminar hasta la casa. Prefería éso a quedarme ahí parada hasta que ya no quedara ni un alma en ése lugar.
Estaba escribiendo el mensaje cuando noté una música en el ambiente, no recuerdo qué canción era, supongo que alguna de moda que ponían mucho en las fiestas. Al levantar la vista y mirar hacia la calle, en dirección a mi antigua escuela primaria, vi que se aproximaba una camioneta Pickup negra, con varias personas paradas en el cajón: Era la fuente de la música.
No le di mucha importancia y volví la vista al teléfono. Cuando la camioneta estuvo a escasos metros de distancia... Los vi...
Las personas-... Lo que estaba encima del cajón, bailando... Eran zombies, esqueletos y algo con rostro verde que parecía sacado de la mente de R.L Stine. Me quedé helada, inmóvil.
La camioneta se paró justo enfrente de mí y luego, en medio de la música y los gritos de ésos tipos, retumbó una voz de locutor: Estaban invitando a una fiesta de Halloween que se celebraría el día siguiente, 31 de octubre.
No lo entendí de inmediato. Cuando llegó un carrito con puestos disponibles simplemente me subí en el asiento de copiloto y le pagué al conductor. Yo estaba en automático, ni siquiera me percaté de que ése carrito era el que siempre me rescataba cuando llegaba tan tarde a la parada, lo reconozco porque tiene un ángel de cerámica en la guantera. De hecho, no creo que mi mente haya procesado nada de éso hasta después de estar en la casa.

I'm thinking about if starting learning japanese was a good idea or not. Yesterday I spent the whole rainy afternoon listening to Visual Kei bands (it was awesome, BTW) while I was working. J-Music has always made me concentrate better and relax. The reason? I think is because I don't get most of the lyrics, so I don't think about that, therefore I don't get distracted.
I wonder if that will change when my vocabulary improves...

This was the score of my first match. The guy was playing only monosyllables and he was about to win, but I had a 10-points-worth-Q and I played it with "QI"... I'm not even sure what that word means in english.
Update: I put "QI" on Google Translator and it says:

Si no conoces a un profesor, no tienes su número o correo y además no conoces a nadie que lo tenga, estás totalmente a ciegas. Sólo tienes un nombre y un horario. Cuando pasa éso en modalidad presencial, simplemente te diriges al aula asignada en el horario indicado. En cambio, si es a distancia no sabes ni dónde va a ser tu clase porque los horarios no incluyen información acerca de qué plataforma usará cada profesor, ni cómo contactarlo. Es un caos.

The "Ferregato" (The Hardware store cat)
That day I was walking home after shopping, when I heard a cat meowing... It was the "Ferrecat", the cat from the hardware store, the owners had closed the store and didn't notice the cat wasn't inside. I was afraid they wouldn't comeback until monday; it was friday, some alleydogs were around and also it was about to rain. So I took this picture, came back home and contact some protectionists from the zone to see if they could help me locate the owners, I also asked the neightbors. This is a small town afterall.
After an hour I was considering taking the cat home until monday. But when I came back, the cat was gone...
I spend the whole weekend worried and checking around the zone every time I was out. Finally monday came and the store opened: The cat was there, under the counter, where it usually is. I was told it walks around and that he gets along with the dogs on that street: "Nothing to worry".
Well, I don't quite like the idea of leaving a pet go out alone, but there's not much I can do about it. I'm just happy that nothing bad happened.

El "Ferregato"
Ese día estaba caminando a casa después de hacer compras, cuando escuché a un gato maullando... Era el "Ferregato", el gato de la ferretería. Los dueños habían cerrado la tienda y no notaron que el gato no estaba adentro. Temía que no volvieran hasta el lunes; era viernes, había algunos perros callejeros y también estaba a punto de llover. Entonces le tomé esta foto, regresé a la casa y me comuniqué con algunos proteccionistas de la zona para ver si podían ayudarme a localizar a los dueños, también pregunté a los vecinos. Después de todo, este es un pueblo pequeño.
Después de una hora, estaba considerando llevarme al gato a mi casa hasta el lunes. Pero, cuando volví, el gato se había ido...
Pasé todo el fin de semana preocupada y revisaba la zona cada vez que salía. Finalmente llegó el lunes y abrió la tienda: el gato estaba allí, debajo del mostrador, donde suele estar. Me dijeron que él pasea por ahí y que se lleva bien con los perros de esa calle: "No te preocupes".
Bueno, no me gusta mucho la idea de dejar que una mascota salga sola, pero no hay mucho que pueda hacer al respecto. Sólo estoy feliz de que no haya pasado nada malo.
I still don't get what NFT's are about, so I don't pay much attention to those platforms. But, a couple of days ago, I saw a post from @CaterinaRusso about a game called "Splinterlands" and I looked for tutorial videos to see what is it about.
I found it to be quite similar to a PS1 game that I really liked as a child: "Digimon World 3". Or, at least, to a part of the game that also consisted on card battles. The structure and dynamics are very similar: Buying and also winning cards, combining them to level them up; then, when dueling, form a team with the most convenient cards and then the battle starts. So I could say that I am somewhat familiar with the basics. (This is the part when you laugh and say "LOL, no, you're not, just wait and see!")
I think I got more interested in these games thanks to my friend Manuagg video about The Social Contract (Jean-Jacques Rousseau). And, maybe that's also the reason that post caught my attention. Out of nostalgia I am considering creating an account. Who knows, I might even enjoy it as much as he enjoyed "Magic The Gathering".

Aún no he terminado de entender el asunto de los NFT's, así que casi no me fijo en ésas plataformas. Pero, hace un par de días vi un post de @CatherinaRusso sobre un juego llamado "Splinterlands" y busqué vídeos tutoriales para ver en qué consistía.
Encontré que es bastante similar a un juego de PS1 que me gustaba mucho: "Digimon World 3". O, al menos, a una parte del juego que también consistía en card battles. La estructura y la dinámica son muy similares: Comprar o ganar cartas, combinarlas para subirlas de nivel; luego, en el duelo, formar un equipo con las cartas más convenientes y dejar que se enfrenten. Así que podría decirse que ya estoy algo familiarizada. (Esta es la parte en que se ríen y ycen "LOL, no, no lo estás, sólo espera y verás!")
Además de éso, creo que comencé a interesarme más por estos juegos gracias al video sobre El Contrato Social (Jean-Jacques Rousseau) que hizo mi amigo Manuagg. Y, quizá también por éso me llamó la atención aquel screenshot del post. Por pura nostalgia estoy considerando crear una cuenta. Quién sabe, hasta podría gustarme tanto como a él le gustaba "Magic The Gathering".
My toothache has return. I think it is due to all the stress of these last two weeks. Also I have some things to do, like pending scripts and posts for n/GeoVox and, of course, working... Having pending stuff and being unable to finish them gives me stress, stress climbs up my blood pressure, high blood pressure gives me toothache...

What a day! At least it's been raining and cold. I couldn't no longer bear the heat for another day. A lot of things have been happening in my country last days. For my mental health I really need to stay away from Twitter, so I'll stay here watching kitty and doggy pics.
Me pregunto si el próximo semestre mi universidad (o por lo menos mi facultad) decidirá abrir las aulas para que los profesores que no tengan equipos necesarios para dar clases a distancia, puedan usar los de la universidad. Eso es lo que han estado haciendo algunos liceos en mi ciudad.
Ya la UCV ha acondicionado el campus virtual y veo que arreglaron las fallas que tenía la última vez que lo usé; antes tenía muchas brechas. Ahora incluso van a permitir que profesores de otras universidades creen su aula virtual en nuestro servidor. Pero, si la mayoría de los profesores no cuentan con equipos, el resultado será el mismo que el semestre pasado: La oferta de materias será muy baja, aunque sean No-Prácticas.
Igual, sin un sueldo adecuado, muchos no van a querer volver, y lo entiendo.

Speaking about fish: The other day I felt so happy to find sardines at the fish shop! I made some burgers for lunch.
It is hard to find sardines these days cause the government -I been told by eastern friends- ordered to fish the sardines a few months ago when they where still too young. Now, in this fishing season it's hard to find adult sardines.
Anyway, here is the pic of my burgers. Maybe next time I'll share you the recipe with more photos.

Estoy desarrollando algunos simuladores de equipos de medición usados en Geomática.
Durante la cuarentena, las clases presenciales están suspendidas, así que no podemos hacer prácticas de campo. Resultado: Me estoy oxidando un poco. Necesito una forma de practicar desde casa, y ya que no tengo los equipos, decidí crear éstos simuladores. Por ahora sólo incluiré las funciones de Data input. Tal vez agregue otras funciones más adelante.

I am developing some simulators of measurement equipment used in Geomatics.
During the quarantine, the face-to-face classes are suspended, so we cannot do field practices. Result: I am getting a little rusty. I need a way to practice from home, and since I don't have the equipment, I decided to create these simulators. For now I will only include the Data input functions. Maybe I'll add other functions in the future.
