🇷🇺 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘀 The other day I was watching a video of my friend Eugeniu (Женя) about the russian verb Переборщить [𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁'] (𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗼) So, I posted a comment using that verb in a sentence: я часто переборщаю с майонез❌ [𝗬𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘆𝘂 𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘇] (I often overdo with the mayonnaise) The thing is that what I thought was the correct conjugation (using the 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘫𝘶𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘴 I've learned) he told me it was different for this particular verb: It turns out that переборщить [𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁'] it's an informal verb that doesn't have 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘛𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦, that's why I couldn't find it in any of the books that I have.📚🤔 So if we need to use it on a 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘛𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 sentence, we have to change it for this similar verb 👉перебарщивать [𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁'] This way, we can now apply the 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘫𝘶𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘣𝘴 𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 "ать": перебарщиваю (First person of singular) Now, the correct sentence would be: Я часто перебарщиваю с майонезом✅ (he also corrected майонезом for me 😅) [𝗬𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘆𝘂 𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗺] (I often overdo with the mayonnaise) At that point I just said: "Just when I think russian can't be more complicated, huh..."😂 I'm so happy to have found this community #twtlang and to meet people like Zhenya who's always willing to explain and to chat with me in a fun way as I improve my russian (and english) skills.
