As I promised: Recipe time!
#1: ๐ฅญ Mango smoothie ๐ฅญ
Material:
1 spoon
1 knife
1 blender
Ingredients (2-3 glasses):
1-2 mangoes
60 g Sugar
7 - 12 Ice cubes (it depends on how thick you like it)
A little water
Procedure:
- Cut the mangoes in three parts
- Use the spoon to remove the pulp from the side parts
- Use the knife to remove the pulp from the center part (the one with the seed)
- Put all the ingredients in the blender in the following order: Pulp, ice cubes, sugar and water. (there is no illustration of this part because I forgot to take the pic before I turned on the blender ๐)
- Place the lid of the blender and turn it on.

Today has been rainy. As I predicted, the weather does not allow me to train outside; last time I went there were so many puddles I had to walk in the middle of the avenue so as not to get my shoes wet. So, today I improvised a place at the backyard. And the rain took a break right on time to let me train at 5:00pm.
I tried a new routine I found on a Youtube channel from some russian guy named Vadym. And I ended up SO TIRED... I remember he says "You have to show your body that it is small and weak..." Well, message received. ๐ต
And in the process Misa didn't stop meowing me and trying to jump on me all the time, so she ended up very tired too. I don't think she's going to join me again tomorrow. ๐

Good morning by the afternoon, Noisers. How you doing?
I don't know if this post will be posted because last night I noticed that the platform has been having bugs. It didn't let me answer your comments on my past posts. And as I had a headache, I went to bed earlier than usual.
The headache didn't let me sleep, and I didn't have any pills. I spended most of this morning recovering and I had my breakfast for lunch. I feel better now after taking my toast and juice. It was probably stress.
Also, we are experiencing some electricity issues at my house due to the recent blackouts. I think there must be a short somewhere, 'cause when we turn on the light in my grandma's bedroom, half of the house gets without power. We already called the tech guys, but who knows if they're coming today. I'm glad I can still use my laptop since this part of the house is not so affected.

Saturday full of good news.
This morning my cousin Chui came to bring a bag of mangoes from their tree. It's the second bag of the year for me, and this type of mangoes is my favorite. And he said he will comeback on tuesday with another bag.
And when my mom and I were drinking mango juice, we heard a lot of fireworks coming from the center. "Why is that?" I asked and after a minute I realized and said "Miguel Cabrera, mom! Go to Twitter!".
Indeed, the fireworks were in celebration for the venezuelan ballplayer that has reached his #3000 hit on the Major League Baseball, today at the Detroit vs Colorado game. โพ๏ธ
A lot of people here had been waiting for that moment all week. After all, for years he was an important player at the national baseball league (LVBP) playing for my state baseball team - Aragua Tigers. I was thinking that my grandpa and Prof. Lucy would be so happy for this. They were real baseball fans.
And, speaking of records and multiples of 3. I have reached and passed #300 subscribers. In gratitude I will be posting mango recipes for you.

My sister hung in the garden this guitar she couldn't repair. It is supposed to be a birdhouse, but the birds do not get in. I don't think they like it. They come to drink water, eat the birdseed and to play among the plants, but they don't even get close to the guitar.
It has no headstock nor tuning pegs; the fretboard and the bridge are damaged. It cannot be used as a guitar anymore. The only way to play it now is as a drum.
Any suggestions on what else we can do with it? I'm thinking about an ornament.

Hot weather is gone, from now on we'll have this Dementors atmosphere I love. And lots of hot tea and chocolate to drink. Although, there will probably be more failures with electricity (there are several cities around that haven't had electricity for two days). And since it's raining just after sunset, there will be days when I can't train outside.
But let's stay positive. Now I can work at any time of the day without getting my laptop on fire.
I finally fixed the bag, it only took a seam and an extra turn on the central buckle. I know, my thread stitches are terrible. I didn't learn the family sewing techniques, but I did learn the cooking ones. ๐
Today I noticed that tomorrow is a national holiday. Therefore, there will be no classes. I'm taking this night to drink hot chocolate and to watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

I'm trying to fix this waist bag, but I don't think I'm doing it right. Its original belt (green) dried out after being kept in the closet for a long time and now it is fraying. I couldn't find the same color band in the haberdasher's, so I bought a brown belt I thought it would match well.
I got it to fit on my hip, but still can't get the pins on the right position to make it adjustable. Maybe I should have taken some pictures of the previous setup before taking it apart.๐
I don't have other bag with a similar belt to compare with, I'm gonna ask my friends if they do have one.
I just need it to carry my stuff when I'm training. So if I can't solve the problem I'll just leave it this way; at least I can wear it that way.

Do you like low budget movies? I always laugh watching those, they're full of mistakes and over-acted scenes. Today I watched "Parasite Eve", it is based on a Hideaki Sena's novel. There is also a videogame about it.
After that I needed to restore my faith on the entertainment industry. ๐ So I watched "Black Widow". I really liked that one, it reminds me a little to "The Femme Nikita" series I used to watch every afternoon when I was little. And I love Ever Anderson Jovovich's performance. That girl is just as talented as her mother.
I've been delaying watching all the Marvel's Universe movies I have pending and I have some time this week, so I'll probably catch up with those to see if I can finally stop dodging spoiler bullets on social media. ๐
It is already friday here (1:30 am) and the rain has come. Let's have a fun and productive weekend.

I have this week off but I've been left so much to study that I don't feel the difference. The days have been too hot, according to the weather prediction tomorrow should be the last day the temperature will be up 35 ยฐC. And I hope so, because today I suffered a sunstroke after bathing my dog and after that I couldn't even concentrate on a basic geometry problem.

I was still feeling low today, but when I was jogging I found something that improved my mood. These mangos where on the sidewalk. In that place there is a woman selling mangos almost everyday. They must have fell from her cart. Luckily I always carry a little bag under my wristband (in case I see a plant my mother would like for her garden).
I kept my way to the training machines; the place was almost lonely; just a little cat was there on the grass. So I could exercise without problems. I started a new legs routine today.
I came back home after sunset, I didn't realize it was so late because I got distracted by two dogs that were playing near the park. Then I saw a third dog running towards us and I though they were friends, but he kept running in the middle of the avenue like he wanted to reach something or someone. I felt worried because he was probably abandoned there by his owners and I couldn't go get him because of my myopia: The light of the vehicles doesn't let me see well at night. Tomorrow I'll contact the protectionists.
When I got home, I made a mango smoothie and now I'm here reading you. I don't feel sleepy, so I think I'm going to watch a movie.

I was looking for some articles today. Couldn't find a square pattern wrapping paper. I need at least 1 sheet to take a few pictures for the product thumbnail. I went to three stores, only one told me that color will probably arrive next week. So I'll wait. What I did find were the disposable containers; and much cheaper.
Today I couldn't go jogging. The rain made me turn back when I was three streets distance from my house. But went I got in, it stopped raining; it was too late then, if I had gone out again at that moment, I would have come back really late after training, so I better stayed home.
Righ now, I don't know why, I feel like I don't want to do anything. It's like being tired or bored, but not even wanting to hear music, watch movies or anything. Just want to sit staring at the wall. It's weird.

A few days ago @Mden asked if I could show how we make bread, but I wanted to take some pictures to better illustrate the process, that's why I took so long to post it.

Ingredients:
1/2 kg Flour
20 g Yeast
1 cup Water (or milk)
1 tsp Sugar
10 g butter
1 egg
Salt
Process:
- Heat the water and then pour into the bowl along with the yeast and the sugar. Wait 10 minutes until it ferments.
- Add the flour, butter and the egg; mix and knead it.
- Add the salt and continue kneading**
- Cover the dough and leave it there for 2 hours.
- When the dough is large as in the picture, place it in a mold and bake.
**: It is important not to add the salt until the yeast is well protected by the flour; the salt "kills" the yeast and doesn't let our dough to grow. That's why we don't add the salt until the last moment.
Note: Milk, egg and butter are to improve the taste and texture of the bread. But you can make the recipe without them. Actually, that's how we usually prepare it at home.

Hello, Noisers! How is your weekend going?
I started working late today. I woke up this morning with a constant headache; my pressure was fine (106 mmHg, pulse on 76) so we thought it may be due to the hot weather (35ยฐC). I took a pill with my lunch, but the pain remained.
When my sister came from work, I asked her to come with me to buy some bananas to make a smoothie. I know it was risky to go outside in that condition, but I didn't want her to go alone neither. Apologize my language, but: Outside it was hot AF!
I bought 2 kg of bananas and... Bingo! It was potasium what I needed. I drank two glasses and took a nap. I felt much better.
From now on I'll make sure we always have bananas at home, not just for my training diet, but for this sort of situations.๐ I didn't go training today because of this, BTW.

Ladies and gentlemen, the bread got perfect.
I couldn't post this yesterday because there was a five hours power cut and added to the 35ยฐC temperature, I ended the day too tired to write anything.
The yeast worked perfectly. My sister kneaded it and the dough expanded a lot. We finally baked a delicious and soft ๐๐ข๐ช๐ฏ ๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐ฎ๐ช๐ฆ ๐ . AND it didn't gave us stomach ache, I added oatmeal just in case. ๐
I can't wait to try other recipes with this yeast.

Due to the recent importations politics, I've been getting daily input on several languages. Most of them are not on my targets list. The other day I could read a pasta package that said "ในใใฒใใใฃ" and I bought it just because of that, as a prize. ๐
Almost all the products in my area are mainly brought from Brazil, China, Turkey... It depends on the store you visit. Portuguese is the easiest for me to understand, because I'm a native spanish speaker. In any case, the instructions generally come both in English and in the native language of the country where the products come from.
But this product (see picture below) came only with instructions in what I minutes ago found out it is turkish. My sister even had to ask the store employees what was it, and they barely could tell her it is yeast. ๐
So, I had to transcribe all the back text on Mr. GT to figure out how to use it. And I think the translation it is very clear: Just 1 tablespoon per every kilogram of flour.
Tomorrow we will bake some bread and I hope everything goes well and that I don't make my family to have a stomach ache because of a poor translation. ๐

Hello, guys! How have you been?
Here it is almost midnight and I've just finished eating my dinner. My mom asked me earlier if I wanted to eat, but I said no because I was not feeling good; I had had fever and toothache. Fever was gone after I took a pill, but the toothache remains. I cannot concentrate if I'm in pain. And because of the pill effects now I kinda feel like my body is a robot and I'm the pilot giving it orders from behind.
I'll have to set an apointment for dentist this week.
This problem was supposed to be solved on december, but when I went to my apointment at the public dentist, they told me the doctor just didn't go; he was on an event. I thought: "Why would they set appointments for a day they know he won't be available?!" They wanted to set new appointment for february. But I was so upset because of their irresponsibility that I said no.
I started saving for going to see a private dentist. It is a little expensive but at least it is a better service. Now, I don't have enough to pay for the entire treatment, but at least I can pay for the first visit and the antibiotics and I probably will need.
Until then, I have to keep chewing ginger.

Long time not eating this.
Six years ago I was on an AutoCAD course with my friend Lucero. I remember they gave us breaks every 1 hour, and there was a coffee maker down the hall. The security guard always made coffee and serve cookies for everyone. That was the first time I tried these salty cookies dipped in black coffee. It's not that I hadn't eat Club Social cookies before, but I never had dipped it in coffee (I used to dip only MARIA cookies). This, hanging with my friend and chatting with the Agronomy Engineering students made that month one of the best and most special times of my life.
I recalled all that with just the first bite.
BTW, I also recalled I never went to get our approval certificates. ๐ฑ She emigrated and asked me to go get hers too. ๐ถ I'm so sorry, Zero ๐ญ... But we never really needed them anyway. ๐

The fishing ban is over. We found fresh sardines in the fish shop. Luckily, because my mom is allergic to the sardines they keep frozen for months.
I'm making a soup for my grandma. She likes fish soup; she says it gives her energy. Personally, I prefer to cook them as burgers, 'cause that's the only way to not leaving the thorns.
I used to like fish, my favorite is the Pink Snapper we always bought at the Ocumare Coast beach. And the Tajalรญ.
But, when I was little I swallowed a big tajalรญ thorn. It got stuck in my throat and I started crying. Everyone in the house got alarmed. To try to get it out my aunts (my mom's sisters) made me eat a lot of bread and drink water, but it didn't move. It was my great-aunt (my grandpa's sister) who finally stuck her finger down my throat and pulled out the thorn. I don't like much fish since then. Unless it is well fried to the point you can chew the thorns.
A couple of years ago, a friend of my mom gave her a recipe for sardine burgers. And I love it. I never get bored of eating that, especially with rice.

I'm reading that cases have increased in several parts of the world.
Here people are acting like the virus is gone. Now there is a "strong flu" spreading but nobody seems to remember about Omicron anymore. Today I went into a store and half of the employees were coughing and sneezing without wearing the masks.
Also, a few days ago, I went to the pharmacy and, they have a sign on the crystal door that says "2 METERS DISTANCE". Based on the dimensions of the store, that means only 3 people can be inside at a time. But at that moment there were 10 people inside the pharmacy. And when the cashier told a man who was outside to get in, the man said "No, I'll wait, there it says 2 meters". Do you know what the other clients and the pharmacy staff did? They laughed at him.
Sometimes I wonder how humanity has survived all this time.

I am "translating" my cost book from VES to USD.
As some of you may know, hyperinflation makes it harder to set cost and prices here. Though we were having a "quiet season" during which the variation between both currencies wasn't so significant, it seems to be changing faster these days and I'm tired of having to update the value of the USD in the local currency almost every day. So from now on I'll be calculating everything directly in USD.
Do you see those cells with a lot of zeros? They are from the previous monetary cone. Before the government removed (another) six zeros from the currency. I haven't updated that sheet since last year 'cause I was using Notion for those calculations. I'm becoming too Cloud dependent.๐

I wanted to eat something sweet while watching series tonight. But I ate the last package of cookies during the Statistics test.
So I tried to make pumpkin pancakes like the ones @Romexa posted the other day. But I didn't wanted to stand in front of the kitchen for too long, so I better made this pumpkin cake. It is flat due I didn't use baking powder.
I think it can be used as a pie base. What do you think?

I'm almost done with exams week. Just one more.
Today's exam was particularly easy but at the same time there were a lot of problems coming out. First, we were supposed to do it yesterday, but it turns out that my Calculus (and Statistics) professor decided to schedule the new date of his test (the one he postponed last week) to the same hour of my Cartography class. It was a real drama telling that to Professor V. But at the end we agreed to move the date for today.
Then, at 19:32 today, when I was finishing the test and mailing it to the Professor... THERE WAS A POWER CUT. I had to call him from my cellphone and after a very tense conversation, he agreed to receive my answers sheet when the power was restored. I sent everything around 21:00.
There is one more test left for tomorrow. I hope nothing bad happens, because that professor is not as tolerant as Professor V.

Cookies and study sunday night... Again.
You know what I hate about exams week? When it is postponed twice in a row. 'Cause I tend to keep studying although I'm already prepared; it makes me anxious.
This time it was postponed by a request from some classmates. They didn't felt well prepared. And I understand them, I've been there. But this means I cannot relax and let my mind rest, but have to "keep my guard on" for another week.
This is the point when my mind starts having doubts about problems that are not actually there and then I get worry and nervous. When I'm nervous during a test, my mind starts thinking faster than my hands can write. The result: I leave my answers sheet blank.
I used to contrarest this using a couple of Feng Shui magnets (I think I have mentioned them on a past post). The sound the magnets made used to bother people sitting around me, so I had to sit as far away as I could from everyone during the test.
Now that I don't have the magnets anymore, I only have my world map ball to grab and also I need to be eating something, whether sweet or salty. Crackers, usually. I'll try to get a bunch of them before tuesday.

This is my sister's Jurassic Park.
I took some pictures of them while they were eating. There are three in total, but there is one that doesn't like me to watch them during lunch time, so he hid in his cave grumping ๐
I don't remember well, I think it was more than a year ago when those little rocks came out the ground at my grandma's backyard and my sister found them. There were more, but one of them died weeks after being found; two of them were adopted by one of my best friends, Maria.
She adopted two because one of them was blind and the other was the one that always helped him to eat (contrary to the grump in the photo, who used to steal his food ๐). The blind one died some months ago, so she only has one now, I think she named him "Onix" after the pokemon.
We only kept this three. They spend all day in the garden and we keep them in a box at night; they are still too small to protect themselves from predators (rats and large lizards) and also they get lost among my mom's plants. That's why my sister built this perimeter for them.
They share their food with some young lizards, though. They mostly eat lettuce, Romaine lettuce to be more specific. Yeah, these three are especially picky on their food! We give them carrot, mango, tomato, celery, papaya... But never for two days in a row; they only eat those for one day and then they don't want that anymore. So, the only constant on the menu is the lettuce ("ROMAINE LETTUCE" they yell from inside their box ๐).

P.D: I forgot to mention that this species of turtle (Chelonoidis carbonaria) is called "Morrocoy". And here it is normal to have it as a pet.
This weather is quite weird. In the morning it is cold until 11 am. After that hour it starts to heat a lot and then around 4 pm it suddenly clouds up. Today even rained and I couldn't go training; there was strong wind and the streets flooded. I had to grab my sister's turtles and take them into the house. Also there were three blackouts at different times of the day. Now it is midnight and I'm tired and freezing.
It was an active day, though I didn't go outside. As it was my grandma's 93rd birthday, some relatives came: uncles, aunts, cousins and family friends. She had a great time catching up with her brothers and sisters.

I've been studying. I have two exams for this week so, though these two days are festive (Carnivals), I haven't left my desk. Also, I'm trying to concentrate on anything but the news. I know I cannot help on that situation, I only come here to check if those of you near the conflict are ok. I hope you're all safe.
I took a few minutes to distract and I was checking up a wallet I had pending for Identity verification. It request to take a selfie and when I used my laptop camera, I noticed that the pictures had a good quality. It is weird, 'cause everytime I use that camera on other apps, the result is pretty bad; a lot of noise on the image. Now I'm thinking it's not a bad camera, maybe it always will depend on the app I use.
Can you recommend any software I can use to take good pictures or to shot videos with my laptop camera?

When I started learning piano, Saraรญ (my professor) taught me the music scales and how to read music notes using the Treble clef and Bass clef. I wrote down all the little black points with their tags on my music notebook and I learned them all. But there was a problem: When I tried to play the notes as I was reading, it was hard for me to recognize each note right on time to play it next. The reason is that I was counting the lines and spaces on the pentagram to know what was the note; 'cause I only knew how to say the notes in order and not randomly.
I needed a way to read the notes randomly, faster and without counting. And I thought: How did you learn the japanese syllabaries? Exactly! It's the same: You need to make your brain relate a symbol to a note.
So I took scissors, glue, tape, paper, paperboard, marker and a sheet from my music notebook and made me these little cards.
- The front side is the Note on a Pentagram and the Clef it belongs to.
- The back side is the Name of the note.
How do I use it? I put all the cards front faced and start saying the name of the note I think it is. If the answer is Right, I put it on the right. And if it's wrong, I put it on the left. This way I got to read the notes without thinking.
When I wrote my last #LingoNoise post I came up with a doubt: Do you think music is a language too? Should I have posted this on that channel then?
