As I sat on my chair this afternoon I began to think about marriage....I couldn't give an answers to some questions that jept roaminating my mindπ€.
At what age is it right to get married?
Is the age consideration the same for both genders?
What are the risks that could affect those getting married outside the appropriate age brackets?
Why do we have an increasing number of the unmarried person in the society?
What are the possible reasons for so many unmarried people? and alot moreπ€π€
In our society, family seems to be the most important part of anyone's life achievement, followed by a job. Or vocation through which one can gain a means of livelihood and finally, a roof over one's head. Men ought to be hardworking and earn enough to cater for the basic needs like food, shelter and clothings of the family members.
The society expects them to provide a permanent residence for members of their families, depending on their medium term goals. Apart from job, the most germane of all these achievements is marriage, Once an individual has reached a marriageable age.
No matter your achievements in life, whether the level of education, career productivity, the quality and quantity of properties gathered, as well as the type of house you live in, the highest point of evaluating one's success is your spouse, your children and your relationship with the extended family.
There are too many marriageable unmarried men and women in our society today, with their number increasing daily. The reai for this differs from person to person as well as from gender. It is unacceptable in Africa for a woman to approach a man for marital union. Only men can ask for a young lady's hand in marriage, there by making it more difficult for the unmarried women to wait until when a young man shows interest in them.
Can't a lady propose too?π€π€
Even our tribal and religious sentiments have complicated the issue by creating a form of unwarranted segregation among us. I feel that some of our religious organization have not helped matters in this regard. Some of them allude the current trend of marital disparity to spiritual problems.
Please at what age should we now get married? Don't wait till you are old , do the needful now...

It might sound clichΓ©, but if it feels right, it probably is. "You can tell you're in love when it feels right,". "It's when you feel comfortable and can both be vulnerable with each other, and don't take advantage of each other's vulnerability. "You can accept each other's shortcomings and still love them. Listen to your feelings, and similarly, if you feel worried about the relationship, there's probably a reason why."
