Snakes are Believed to Bring Good Luck

One rainy afternoon,my 3year old daughter went to the comfort room to wash her dirty hands and feet. We hadn't notice anything unusual or so I think because I did not go inside the comfort room with her. So she came out after washing.

Not long when my husband came home and went directly inside the comfort room also to wash,I think.

When he heard a rustling sound above him. On one corner of the cr, there was an uncleaned dried leaves of coconut which he was supposed to make into stick broom. The rustling sound came from it but to his great surprise a snake was crawling in it.

He swung open the door and hurriedly took his bolo from its sheathe. He gets back to the cr and look for the snake.. I tried to peeped in and saw it was standing with its neck expanded to a hood.. It was a cobra. It made me afraid of the thought what if it was my daughter who had seen it?What if she got startled and got the snake startled also? After sometime my husband got to hurt it and nearly cut it in half.

It went out.My hubby ran after it at the back.Unluckily it entered a hole in the stones leaving it's severed tail part of atleast 2feet or longer, its diameter I think was atleast an inch.

Do you think that cobra died from its wound? Could it survive with a 2feet cut from it?

Later on,I came across a facebook post of someone from another village that they believed snakes bring goodluck..

If a snake happen to appear or get inside their house, they would just shower it with some water.. To let it drink, they believe that it was a good omen so they never intended to hurt or kill it. After showering it,the snake would leave..

In Serbia, there is a belief that every house has its own snake, the guardian of the house. That's what we call this species of snake 'Guardian of the House'. I dread snakes, reptiles, beetles ..

Ma'am, I can't find any good luck from snakes, but there's one Particular Gentle snake, it was a Python, this python doesn't harm until his tail is been touched or tampered with , but normally there's no GoodLuck from snakes and doing those stuffs watering the head of the snake and leaving it to drink water is a very bad omen, believe me the snake won't leave the house and it'll be very harmful to the kids on there, and for the cut of the snake, it can never survive it cause any scratch on snake will surely kill them.

So the snake which has a cut on its tail part might die of it..? its not our belief but other villagers do believe in it so they don't try to harm it but to shoo it away

If a snake as a simple or a slight cut anywhere in it's body can't survive if, and for those that believe in it well maybe it's real for them but I can't believe that anyway ma'am
