Anyone who loves vegies is not new to this vegetable. Do you somehow, love this despite it's odor and flavor?

This vegetable was once used only for medical purposes as back as Hippocrates' time. But somehow widely cultivated throughout the world after it was first recorded as table food in France in 1623.

Celery is a powerful alkaline vegie which neutralizes uric acids and other acids in the body;rich in chlorophyll which is responsible for blood detoxification, odor control, wound healing, gut health, energy, immune system support, and cancer prevention; and provides an abundance of valuable nutrients such as potassium, sodium which helps to keep in-organic calcium in solution from forming deposits in the body, calcium, phosphorus, silicon, iron, potash, sulphur and magnesium, plus vitamins A, C and some of the vitamin B. All of these are essential in ones well-being.

This medicine food can be use in varius ways-an article of food added in daily meals;as tea prepared from the seeds alone or combined with certain herbs; the freshly expressed juice.

Preparing it for a juice has more advantages than eating the celery as a whole. The fact that solid foods require many hours of digestion before it's nourishment becomes available to the cells and tissues of the body. However, when consumed in juice form its valuable nutrients are already available after 10-15 minutes after consumption.Today, we have the nutri-bullet which is a much convinient tool to use in juicing vegies and fruits so that every single cell of it will be used and not be wasted. Thus providing the body all the nutrients this food has.

But before serving this food or juicing/blending it, the stalks should be soaked, trimmed of any bruised spots, then thoroughly rinsed in cold running water as it may have been sprayed with insecticides or may be treated in commercial growing.

Its odor and characterictic flavor was due to its essential oil, do you like it?

@z_graeden once again open for additional informations about this food and other methods you knew on how this food is served or consumed.
