Somebody hit the Jackpot!
November 3, 2022
Hello, dear Read.cash friends, how are you all?
On November 1st, my husband got busy finding something that was wrapped in a yellow sack and was tied. He had a scrap business and he made our front lawn his stack area. It was not good to look at, yes but those people's garbage including metals, plastics, broken washing machines, and more, we consider treasures and I personally see them as money.
Whenever we both travel, we always look at the side of the road and pick up aluminum cans that people throw off the road.
Now back to his business in finding that sack, he asked my sister who stays in her home all the time, her house is in front of ours so she notices anyone coming in and out.
My husband transferred all his treasures but he did not find them. Then my sister came to us and she said she remembered someone coming bringing a black square and went out bringing both the black square and the yellow sack.
Indang said she thought that my husband was at our house because his motorcycle is there in the parking area. But my husband was out of the house for almost the whole day because he had to report for duty as a barangay tanod.
Someone stole from us!
I never thought that could happen because we are only buying junk from people and now somebody stole it. My husband was very worried about it and I asked him why and what waS in the sack.
He told me that it was the former neighbor's car's carburetor and it only needs calibration so it will be used again. And even with The issues it has, it can be sold for up to 100US dollars or 5,000 pesos and it is like he hit the jackpot!
My sister said she does not know and he could not remember the face of the man.
Just like that and the treasure was gone, He called several of the people he knew and they said they did not come over. My husband even said that no one even knew about the carburetor and now it's gone.
It was very heartbreaking news we had at the beginning of the month. And the culprit, he was very gutsy to do so in the bright of the day to steal from us. I guess he had calloused conscience already.
We just hope that he used the money he earned from it for good and not in alcohol or meth.
Until today, we are still baffled by the unfortunate incident that happened.
I had been reminding my husband about keeping his valuables inside the house, he said he did but had just forgotten about keeping them. he said he already planned on doing so but his attention got diverted thus he forgot about it already.
I hope he will keep his valuable the soonest before he forgets next time
What about you, had anyone stolen from you during day time too?
That is indeed very unfortunate. I am so sorry to hear this. But karma will happen.
