Granular lockdown

As I was browsing my facebook profile earlier, I checked my notifications and got to opened one post from Homeowners Association page where we are presently residing. In this page they informed everyone about the latest update within our community. Yesterday my father in law phoned us. Just like the usual days that he called, he was asking how are day was and mentioned me about the granular lockdown within our city according to the news reported. I told him that our village wasn’t included in the said lockdown according to the latest update from our city Mayor official post in facebook which I had checked a few days back. Or so I thought.

Going back to the post I checked earlier, the officers in our village have a clarification post regarding what was posted about a certain street in our village being included in the granular lockdown. Whew I’m glad it was cleared right away before anything worst could happen. From what I have read and seen from the news, granular lockdowns were strictly implemented to a certain street, purok, or barangay in order to contained the virus within the area and prevent it from spreading. Just like what other lockdowns have imposed the local government unit of the city will provide them food and support up until the several days of quarantine is done.

The never ending lockdown

It’s been a long time already since the lockdown has started within our country. We started from ECQ (enhanced community quarantine) to MECQ (modified enhanced community quarantine) and GCQ (general community quarantine). For a long period of time we got used to all these quarantines restrictions. Our ways of living suddenly changed because of so many restrictions. The things we used to do weren’t allowed for some period of time. In short we were introduce to different way of living they called the new normal. When will this end? The answer to that question is unknown. We were all happy when the daily cases started to slim down. The lockdowns started to ease too, with few restrictions were being lifted up. Some business were starting to opened up and people were going back to their respective jobs. But it only lasted for a while, the daily cases surged again for the next couple of days because of the new variant detected. So then, another lockdown within the city was executed.

Closing Thoughts

The thought of our village being in lockdown scares me a lot. We have a little community and for the past months, few people has contacted the virus and unfortunately some didn’t make it until the end. When the lockdown were imposed, we were instructed to stay home for everyone’s sake. At the moment according to the village officers there were some people in our area that has been tested positive. They were strictly monitored by the barangay officials so that it wouldn’t spread within our community.

For now, the best way we could do is to follow what is being implemented. There is no time for complaining and ranting for someone out there is struggling for their own life. By simply following the health protocols, we are saving ourselves from being infected as well as helping the frontliners lessened their burdens. And lastly let’s keep on praying to God for the healing of our countrymen and all the people around the world who were infected by the virus. I do believe at the end of this dark tunnel there is a light waiting. We might not there yet, but soon we’ll be there. All these lockdowns and quarantine restrictions will be lifted up, and we will be back to our old normal days. And I hope all those who lost their jobs can finally get a new one too. Are you excited for that too?

Seems like there's spammers again which downvoting your article madam, don't mind them. Anyway be careful and always follow the safety protocols madam, granular lockdown is the best thing that government think, its better than making lockdown in whole city cause it might affect the area that had no covid cases and its also good for those business to continue again.

I noticed it too sir. My account is just one week old that is why I am kinda clueless about the downvotes. Is it okay if I may ask?

I hope we can get through with all the hardships in our life because of these lockdowns and all. Too many businesses has been affected and that includes jobs too. Take care and God bless! Thanks for the warm welcome too.😊

If all will just follow the rules it is not impossible for us to defeat the virus.. However, sad but true, ther are still some people that do not believe in the virus.

Sad but what you said sis is reality, usually those people that do not believe in the virus were those people who weren’t affected yet. I’ve known a lot that were infected and it scared me, dito nga lang samin ilan na ang nahawa may namatay pa. 😥

Hays, hope we can get out of this bubble already. Thank you sis for sharing your thoughts😊
