Why I don't want to drive yet? Hello guys! How are you all today? It is Monday, and well it is another busy day. As for me, I started my day doing my youngest son performance task for one of his subject. After finishing it, the next task I did was to prepare our lunch and at the same time doing the laundry. I needed to do it because tomorrow we'll be out again to celebrate our 10th year anniversary. During lunch time, my son's adviser asked for the baptismal certificate of those Catholic students who will receive their first holy communion to be pass on at the school. And so I went to school to pass it and I let my husband fetch me after. I continued doing my laundry and at exactly 5 pm we went out again to meet the dentist. One of my front teeth needs some restoration and my husband is scheduled for cleaning. After Ate Bebe the dentist is done with restoring my teeth, she asked me then, why until now I haven't learned how to drive. I just looked at her and smile. She told me, that I needed it so that whenever my husband is away, it wouldn't be harder for us to go to places we wanted to. Again I refuse her comment and change the topic instead, until it was my husband's turn to seat at the dentist chair. There's actually reasons, why I don't want to drive yet. Firstly is that I still don't have enough courage to be on the road. With all honesty, thinking of driving alone in a busy road like here in the city make me nervous already. We got our car back in 2016. It is an old model Toyota Corolla that we got for only 70k. A relative recommended it, and I guess it was a good deal because even though it is a 1995 model everything is working fine. We couldn't afford a brand new one because we are still paying our monthly house amortization. Aside from it is an old model, it is also a manual car. Driving a manual car is very much complicated than driving an automatic car. I don't know how to explain it technically but driving an automatic car is less hassle. Back in 2016, my husband used to teach me, eventually he gives up, telling me that if he has enough money, he will buy me an automatic car. Hahaha! Well, I can actually drive it, but then, I am a little forgetful that sometimes I forgot to change the gears every now and then. My second reason is that I easily got distracted most specially when I am on the road. Anthony said that when driving you have to focus and attentive because accidents can happen in a seconds. I have seen a lot of road accidents for many years and I can't help but to feel sympathy for them. I might not know what to do if in case I am driving and then I see an accident in front of me. I might panic and maybe cause another collision. One thing that my husband is always telling me that whatever happened while you are on the road is to never panic. Andwae! Hahaha! So yeah I think I need to work harder on that in order for me to drive. Last but not the least is that I am a sleepyhead person. Whenever I am on travel, I don't forget to take a nap or maybe because the cool breeze of aircon in front of me makes me sleepy. Before I can't sleep when my husband is driving because sometimes he drives so fast that I have to remind him everytime. But now, I can always sleep even though he is driving fast, like I don't care anymore. They said that being sleepy might cause accident while driving so I wish I could change this attitude as well.
My Ending Thoughts I know the things I have mentioned above was just a mere alibis. I always believe if there's a will there's a way. In my case if there's a wheels, I should find my way to drive it. Hahaha! I know, I should have to gather enough courage, be able to stay focus on the road and lastly fight my sleepyness. If I would be able to overcome these three, then I am a step forward to drive along the road. That is for today's article. Thank you for always coming by at my post. You were all highly appreciated. Haha you must be very brave to have the calmness to sleep while on the road, I can't do that.
Hahaha! I really don't know the reason but everytime I got into the car I can sleep well:)

Alam mo sis kahit wala akong sasakyan pero gusto ko talagang matutu mag drive, talagang naiinggit ako sa mga babae na marunong mag drive, lalo na dito sa middle east sis grabe yung mostly mga babae dito ay marunong mag drive kaya isa iyan sa goal ko ang matutung mag drive kaya push mo yan sis tapos bili ka ng automatic hihi.
Ang problema sis wala pang pambili hahaha! Oo nga parang ang astig ano, pinsan at bestfriend ko jan natuto magmaneho sa middle east pareho babae yun.
Driving requires focus and confidence and it is good you aren't forcing yourself to do it since you are not ready for it. How is the teeth now? Feeling better?. Happy anniversary.

I always wanted to learn how to drive a carx but whenever I try to see myself driving in the middle of the busy streets, I suddenly have the urge to backout; I think roads are not for me though, so as driving hehe.

Same here ate. My father and cousins alwwys insisting me to learn how to drive, but I don't want. There is a huge mistake I have done before, we almost get hit by a tricycle due to my carelessness. That's why I don't want to learn anymore how to drive especially 4-wheeled vehicles.
Maybe you'll get over it. Just don't force yourself for now. Sarap din kaya matutong magdrive pra pede ng gumala kaya lang lakas ng loob asan ka na ba😅
Nku sis ako mhina din loob pgdating sa pagdrive. Gusto nga ni hubby ko bilhan ng e bike sabi ko n lng wag n. Kase ayoko tlga mgdrive. Hahaha. Takot ako at mhina tlga ang loob

Focus is very important in driving sis,and I think your decision was just right for you ,because we know ourselves more than others.Accident can happen any second while on the road.
True that sis. Iniisip ko pa lang magasgasan kotse ng iba natatakot na ako. Yeah I guess I really have to wait for the right time:)
What I recommend is that you learn, and then see if you drive or not. Here in Caracas it is difficult because there are many motorized vehicles, and I would be afraid to drive here.
Thank you Carolina, next time I will try to enroll in a driving school so that I could learn the proper way. Also here in our city traffic is worst that is why I need to have a lot of patience too.
Ako mandin noon, gusto naman ako turuan ni mommy na mag drive ng tricycle ako lang lagi umaayaw. I mean ang dami kong rason or palusot sa kanya pero ang main siguro talaga is madali akong mag panic kapag maraminh sasakyan na dumadaan. Kita mo nga tatawid lang ako lalo pag kasama ko si mama nagahawak pa ako sa damit nya hahahaha. Dummo lang feeling ko maiiwanan ako oag tumawid sya ee gahahaha

Me too sis. Kahit pagmomotor, di pa rin ako marunong. I'm not confident being on the road din kasi. Ang dali ko din madistract lalo na pag may malalaking sasakyan. Noong isang araw nga nagpapraktis ako, di ko talaga kaya.hahah Muntik pa nga ako mabangga😅
Hahaha, super relate, nakakatakot kasi ung malalaking sasakyan lalo yung mga trucks at bus parang dudurugin ka😅
Maski ako sis ayoko din mag drive pero dahilan ko eh 4'11 lang ako at di ko abot ung break sa baba 🙈🙈 pero ung mga kapatid ko nag aaral na din at may licensed na. Sabi kasi ni papa kahit daw sana pamana na lang avanza niya samen 😂😂

Nako sis ako gusto ko magdrive. HAHAHAHAHA nahilig dn kasi ako sa racing computer games kaya na engganyo ako tska amay pagkabarubal ako hahahaha. Tinuruan na dn ako ni hubby pero wala pa ko license, kasi ang hirap kapag puro kami rent ng sasakyan tapos wala sya kapalitan magdrive

Kunti lang ang nalalaman ko sis, kasi takot talaga ako, at saka ok lang naman dun mag practice kasi nasa deserted place ehh, subrang laki ang space, unlike dito sah pinas crowded talaga.

Oo sis, may nakapag sabi din sa akin ng ganyan, kasi dito sah atin graveh talaga, dapat double ingat ka talaga, kasi kapag hindi, kunting galaw mulang hay naku baka magkasala kana.
Naka lisensya ako pero ayaw pa rin ako pagdrivin ng tatay ko haha! In short, walang tiwala haha! Sabi niya pag 30 yrs na lang daw ako haha.
Hahaha! Ako sis yung student driver ko na expired na't lahat di pa rin natuto. Naku ilang taon ka pa mag aantay
*Gusto ko din matuto mag drive sis kahit yung motor man lang. Pero dahil nerbyosa ako kaya yung tinuro ng partner ko di pumasok sa utak koo, hehehe*

Sleepyhead, no you are disqualified. Road attentiveness is very necessary in driving. If you aren't confident, don't go for it. But with practice you can overcome all these, as I also have attention problem early but while driving I have super seventh sense attention, which I only got through practicing.
I know right, hahaha! My husband keep on telling me that in driving attentiveness is a must or else don't try to drive.🤣
I'm sure you'll be able to in time :) And when you do, let's go for a road trip lol!

I think you should learn how to drive though it's important Incase there is any emergency. I am also planning to learn how to drive.
Soon if I am more confident to face my fears, I might really try it:)
Hello sis, in my case motorcycle diving naman tinuturo ng mister ko sa akin noon kase nga mahirap sumakay ng tricycle dito samin at most of the time na late na ako. Di ko talaga ma tancha ang grip ng handle at yung kaba ko talagang nauuna palagi kaya sabi ko na bahala na ma late ako kesa madisgrasya😅 at nung ngsimula ang pandemic binilhan nya ako ng bike, wala akong choice na pagaralan ulit magbike kaya medyo lumakas na loob ko magbike papuntang office. Maybe later on sis pag panay drive mo masasanay ka na din.
Salamat sis, baka nga I really hope I could learn soon kasi mahirap din ang commute ng commute pag wala si mister dito. Yun lang baka puro gala naman ang gawin ko😆
Same tayo sis, takot ako magdrive kasi kung saan-saan sumusulpot yung mga nagmomotor. Sabi ko nga sa inlaws ko pag nagdrive ako may megaphone dapat para alam ng lahat if pipreno ako or liliko hehehe..
