Imagine the apple mentioned in the Bible wasn't an apple but a tomato. Most likely not a rotten tomato but still a tomato. It would make sense to me since the tomato is also called "the apple of life" and in one language it has a name that sounds like paradise. What exactly the paradise part of the tomato is I don't know but one of the facts is this fruit (indeed it is a fruit) is healthy and if you eat enough of it it even works as a sun blocker. We know red is the color of love, tomatoes taste fine but they cause allergies as well. What if Ever loved the taste, offered to Adam out of love? No one ever makes up his mind if this is a possibility. If you ask me it is.
Nowhere is described what the apple Ever and Adam are looked like. We assume it is similar to the one we eat or saw in a painting.
Apples. An apple a day doesn't keep the doctor away. It didn't work for Adam and Eve neither it will for us. Some interesting facts about apples are the same attacks your teeth, this fruit doesn't contain much vitamin C and... It harms your stomach and intestines. If you are one of those many people with digesting issues, pain in your belly, you better skip that Apple a day. What does help is peppermint (brush your teeth) and ginger to start with (both great to make tea with).
The apple... it's not as healthy as they made us believe. What if the one who wrote it down knew, experienced it himself? You don't need to be a scientist to figure out what is good for you and whatnot. Most times children know. If they refuse to eat something, a certain ingredient it might be time to listen and take it seriously. It's possible the child is allergic or developed an allergy which means it is the forbidden fruit!
If we read different versions and translations of the Bible we know there are translations that do not fit. Strange birds, animals are named which are most likely are made up of the translate because he had no idea what the original word meant.
The Bible is filled with do not and for sure the apple isn't the only forbidden food. I wonder how many still stick to the rules if it comes to what is served for dinner. Do you avoid an apple because it's forbidden? What about pork?
The apple is no longer on my list mainly because my children need it more than I. It's the same for pork. Meat is expensive but if I can afford it I would eat it.
Both apples and tomatoes each has its own pros and cons. Regarding the bible part, it's really hard to tell if it was really an apple or tomato because even the skeletons of The Great Arc is unfound.
