It's a glorious 20Β°C today. I wake up my husband early and ask him if we can go to the Sunday Market with the kids. Make the most of the sun that we haven't seen for days.
It's almost an hour to get there, and it's like a road trip. I took this photo:
while singing in my head,
Country roads, take me home
To the place, I belong
West Virginia, Mountain Mama
Take me home, country road.
It fits right? I'm lucky to be in here. Northern Ireland is such a beauty.
We reach Nutts Corner and as usual the parking, this massive place is full. You have to pay Β£1 to get in and I always thought that they're making good money out of it.
We get off the car and go on separate ways. Lol. Yes, we do. It's because I love to look at things he doesn't want and I can't bother looking at things he's looking at so it's better if we go enjoy our freedom. Does it make sense?
But of course, I have to ask for money. Typical. π I love the look he gives me. But who cares? I didn't forget to say thank you, hahaha.
So I have Tia with me and he has Jigz. Because Tia is my food buddy and they look at everything, we don't. We just come here for the food. π
From time to time we will cross each others path and ask each other. My husband always says, "Do I know you?" and I was like, "No, I'm new here. Want to take me home?"π€£
We're not even walking too far when Tia, whispered in my ear,
"Mommy, just one ice cream."
Then put that big smile on her face. The one she used to use when she wants something. That's her special skill to get what she wants.
"Please, Mommy!"
Does she look happy enough? Not even 5 minutes in the market and she already had ice cream. We go back walking and enjoy all sorts of stalls in there. This GIF is from the last week to show what their selling:
And while walking we passed the Dinky Donuts stall. And here I hear, someone whispering again,
"Mommy, the doughnut with chocolate and marshmallow looks yummy! Just last one. I promised."
As if the word "last" exist in our house. Last could even be just the beginning with no end. π
So here she is after "just one ice cream", here's "the last one".
I call my husband to meet me here and buy Jigz a doughnut so he can eat with Tia and here they are,
And after she finishes her doughnuts I ask her, "Is it okay if we can start walking again? You must be full now." And she was like, "Yes, Mommy! π".
And off we walk. Here are some photos from today:
This is one of my favourite, their selling fresh seafood and they are always here every Sunday. I bought a kilo of Prawns so you can expect my future dish would be anything with Prawns.
And this is my husband's favourite one where he buys his burger.
Oh, he loves it with loads of onion. And me, of course, rice. Chicken Curry with rice will keep me happy. Seriously before, I only come here so I can buy the Chicken Curry with Rice because it's so good!
So what I bought?
Aside from the prawns, I bought lovely gladiator sandals, some sweets, husband got some tools, as usual, Jigz got loads of Pokemon cards that cost a fortune while Tia is full. She doesn't want anything anymore. She's happy enough.
And we all go back home with a smile on our face.
And because Mum wasn't able to come with us because her legs are bad again. We brought her a cake from the local bakers that sell in there too.
I swear, this tastes delicious than it looks! I will definitely buy it again. And tea with the cake will be perfect. I and Mum enjoy this treat!
this looks so much fun! and look at that road view! your baby girl is such a sweetie...
