The Truth of the Matter: The current situation and Why "Trust" doesn't exist anymore!
Trust has been a fundamental building block of societies and organizations. The current situation is that no one can be trusted and there is no trust.
No one can be trusted because people are often prone to lies and deceit. This has also led to an overwhelming sense of mistrust. People are more careful and there is a lot of uncertainty in their lives now because they cannot trust anyone.
We live in a post-truth world, where the truth does not exist anymore, but this does not mean that people are bad or dangerous, it's just that people believe the opposite things with all their power.
It's been evident in our day-to-day lives and the ways we interact with one another. But over the past few decades, something changed that caused people to lose trust in others. Trust eroded because of various factors such as social media, increasing consumerism, increased globalization, and the global financial crisis.
“Trust” has become an issue. When we are not able to trust what is being said, that leads to a lack of motivation to share and read anything that is being posted. This makes it so the problem is never resolved - because the cycle continues.
In today’s political and social climate, the issue of "fake news" is a hot topic. While many argue that this is a new problem, it has been around for centuries. Fabricated news, made-up news, fake news--whatever you call it--it's existed for years.
Trustworthiness is a crucial element in society, and not one which can be ignored. It has been observed that trustworthiness is influenced by many factors. The most important of these are:
the respect for the law, moral principles, the positions of government and corporations, and information about them. These factors have been found to influence trustworthiness in society by having both direct and indirect effects on people’s quality of life.
My employer once said, "It takes longer for a person to gain a person's trust but it takes only a second to lose that trust." Trust should never be taken advantage of.
