Good Day Guys
Let me share with you a quick update regarding my pet ants. I was checking my formicarium and this is what I saw, there are a bunch of larvae and eggs inside this formicarium. As you look closely some are already turning brownish and they are ready to become ants. Just watching their life cycle is really amazing. They start with the queen laying an egg, and then the nurse that egg until they become ants.
I've been watching the youtube channel of AntsCanada and he gave me an idea of putting jelly ace inside their enclosure. I found the jelly ace inside our ref and I was really curious if they would eat it or not. I was just observing them, they seemed that they didn't like it because it's a different story when I put a test tube full of sugar water, they all rush and drink from it.
After a few hours, I looked at the jelly ace cup, and they added so much dirt on top of it. But at the same time, if you look closely they are slowly consuming it. I also fed them an adult Male Dubia. I usually rip its head off before feeding it to them. Feeding time is really fun, that's when you get to see them swarm their prey
If you see the photo below, you can see the majors ants/ soldier ants. They are the ones with the big head. I'm actually having fun keeping these ants, I just love what they are doing.
It's really cool to spot them building tunnels and defending them. There's one thing that I want to see though, it's the queen. I wonder where is it staying. I tried looking closely inside the blue thing where all the brood is but I couldn't spot her. She's still alive because there are a lot of new eggs. I hope that you guys can try this hobby one day.
Thanks for reading and Stay safe always!

Woaahh it's first time that I known someone who have pet ants. Aren't they crawled out of the container you put into?
