Since yesterday was the day that I and my love @Rhed long distance relationship came to its fourth months, I've got to remember this broad topic that was then firstly suggested by him truly. And since, I am into liking to go on travel, with or without someone to be with, I came to this decision of making a blog which is related to this topic "Travel."
When Rhed and I became an official couple, we only have few moments together because he needs to go back to Manila for work. Aside from our casual town getaways, two of best moments I had with him were when we went to Canigao Island Paradise and our last unplanned trip to Katipunan, before his flight.
He once asked me, "To where do you like to travel when I come back love?" And these are some of the places that I want to travel with him (Southern part of Leyte);
San Francisco Javier (HANGINAN)
It is located at Maasin City Southern Leyte. Back then, I always visit this place together with my parents and with my Aunt and Uncle (parents of my cousin Rhian when they are still a couple). I should say that this place is one of my favorite place to contemplate while walking the stairs up its peak the spot where the church was built.
Mama Mary Shrine
It is located Jalleca HIlls , Maasin City Southern Leyte. It is also one of the tourist attraction of the said city.
After visiting "Hanginan" we usually go to this place and contemplate as well. Of course, we didn't miss any chance to take some photos. The last time I visited this place was when I was about to take my LET EXAMS.
Monte Cueva
There are more than 550 concrete stairways to overcome leading to the cave on top of the hill Monte Cueva.
The Monte Cueva Shrine started out as a private site owned by Atty. Joaquin Jr. and Florencia "Loring" Chung who later donated it to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Maasin. The said shrine allows the community to experience meaningful and deeper connection with God and the Patroness of Maasin in the site. Its origin began with the landowner Atty. Joaquin Chung Jr.’s dream about the Lady of Assumption’s request to build a shrine in that specific area. Since then, he built the shrine and passed the ownership and management to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Maasin.
Tangkaan Beach Resort
If you want to know more about this place, you can read more about it through this site.
Honestly speaking, I am not familiar with this place because I still didn't visit it. And if time comes that we will the chance to go in this place, it will be my first time. (Excited)
La Caridad Farm
La Caridad Farm is an agri-tourism destination located in Sogod, Southern Leyte.
Not far from the town but you can experience total eco village. Where animals, tree's, flower's and any kind of things from nature will help you to relax.
Bendicar Farm
The Bendicar farm is located on Brgy. Buac Gamay On Sogod Southern Leyte. It is one of the beautiful tourist spot that Sogod are very proud to have.
It’s a wonderful Farm, that have many kinds of flowers. They Have a dog named Donkey roaming around the farm, accompanying the visitors as they roam around the farm. The Entrance Fee costs 15 pesos per head. They also have a fish pond that is incredibly Amazing. The boating costs 20 pesos per head. It’also known for it’s little cave that is under a little man -made hill that has the name of the farm. You can also go up to the hill to take good pictures for souvenirs. They also have birds, others are flying freely and some other birds are caged.
Caningag Mountain Park
Southern Leyte has indeed plenty of hidden gems that are yet to be discovered. From the vast oceans to the rising mountains all over the island, Leyte has proven to have wonderful sites that boast with nature.
Known as the Little Batanes of Southern Leyte, Mt. Caningag lays humbly from its overlooking view to Dinagat Islands, Limasa Island, and Surigao Strait. With a view like this, you might just be in nature-heaven.

So far, these are the places in Southern portion of Leyte province that I would like to visit with Rhed when he return home from Manila. Maybe there are still other places that I didn't know and if you have anything to share, don't hesitate to write your comments down below.
That would be all for this blog fellas. Tomorrow I might share the second part of this travel plans and it would be in the other parts of Leyte province. Thank you for spending your time. Take good care of yourselves, especially your heart!❣️
