While driving home, I suddenly stopped.... because the sunset was so beautiful. Maybe it’s because I was so drained from everything I did and ran around for, that I appreciated it even more… it was like it was telling me, “Let’s call it a day, tomorrow again.” And in that moment, I realized… I was under so much pressure from everything I had to do. Maybe I’m not the only one. I think many of us… …in one way or another, carry pressure. For students, it’s passing the exam despite the lack of sleep. For employees, it’s hitting deadlines while juggling a hundred tasks. For parents, it’s providing for the family even with a tight budget. For dreamers, it’s chasing goals that sometimes feel impossible. And yes… pressure feels heavy. It’s exhausting. Sometimes it makes you want to quit. But pressure exists because what you’re doing matters. You feel pressure because people are counting on you. Because you’re trusted. Because you’re in the game... not watching from the sidelines. There’s no pressure on someone who’s not in the fight. There’s no pressure in situations that don’t carry value. So when you feel that weight again, don’t just say, “Why me?” Instead, stand tall and remember this: - Diamonds are made under pressure. - Champions rise under pressure. - And purpose is revealed under pressure. Because in the end, pressure doesn’t break the strongest ones…it reveals them.

Kahit dahan-dahan, maitatawid. Di man ngayon, malalampasan din.
I'm used to being alone. I live alone, travel alone, drink my coffee alone, or eat my meal alone. I am solely responsible for taking care of myself, wherever I go. I am so independent that most people think I do not need anyone in my life or so independent that people often forget to ask me whether I am okay or not. There are lots of people who say that not all those alone are lonely. However, I've become one of those who are lonely for being alone. Even if I tell everyone that I am okay with being alone, there is still a part of me that longs for the feeling of being protected, taken care of, and loved. I still wish to be held when I'm falling apart. I still wish to be heard when I have so much to say deep in my heart. I still wish to have someone I can share my coffee with, or at least someone who will remember to ask me how my day went, even just once a month. Sometimes, loneliness makes my hands cold. But most of the time, it keeps me up all night and makes me wonder how I would live my life happily. I used to be happy being alone until I've become so unfamiliar with those beautiful feelings that I can only get from others, not from myself. Sure, it is a wonderful feeling to love myself, but sometimes I also wonder how it feels to have someone who loves me or at least cares for me. I wonder how it feels to have someone who brings me coffee, sits beside me and eats with me, holds my hands when they are cold, and holds me between the arms when I can't sleep at night. There is no doubt that I can take care of myself, but sometimes I also wish for somebody to take care of me.
𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱. It's staying still— faithful and unshaken, even in the midst of fear. Some people often mistake bravery as a description of someone who lacks fear, as if courage belongs only to the fearless and not to human beings in general. Being brave doesn’t mean you're not scared. But rather, it simply means you are scared—your hands tremble, your thoughts race, your heart pounding like loud war drums. But still... you show up. You hang in there. You speak the truth, even when your voice shakes. You take the leap, even with doubt heavyweight on your bones. You choose to stand your ground, not because you’re unafraid, not because you are fearless, but because 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿— 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲, 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄. Bravery isn’t loud all the time. It’s not always bold or dramatic. Sometimes, it’s as quiet as a whisper that says: “I’m scared... but I won’t give up.” And 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿—𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀. 💜
I have to apologize to myself for putting up with something that I do not deserve. I know that I have been trying my best to be kind to people, even when most of them don't deserve it. I keep forgiving people, I keep understanding them, and I keep giving them chances because I always believe in their goodness. But lately, I realized how pitiful it is to always consider someone else's feelings while forgetting about mine. I have been trying my best to be nice, to the point that people have become okay with disrespecting me. I realized that I have been really kind to others, but not to myself. I deserve an apology to myself. I have been through so much pain while I was trying to protect anyone from being hurt. I keep giving a piece of me to everyone while I keep losing myself in silence. I have been treated like sh*t, but I still have to pretend that it was okay all along. I have to apologize to myself for all the bad things that I have endured from people who couldn't appreciate my kindness. I guess this is sad— I have practiced treating people well while I was so unkind to myself. And maybe being kind is so draining. I used to love doing good things for people until they started taking advantage of the kindness that I always showed them.
"One day I heard some guy tell this girl in my class that her gums stuck out too much when she smiled, so she started covering her mouth every time someone cracked a joke or laughed with her. And I knew a boy in my English class who would always get excited over the tiniest of things, then say sorry afterwards. He’d actually apologize for being over-enthusiastic. This was probably because of the weird looks people would give him when he boasted about his favorite books or movies. He actually thought his passions were silly. Another time, I was at my best friend’s house. We were trying on clothes, and I threw a crop top of mine for her to wear. She told me she couldn’t wear it because her belly would stick out, and she wouldn’t want people staring or making rude comments. It was only later I found out about the nights she’d spend with two fingers down her throat. Then a distant friend of mine had this boyfriend who constantly criticized her. He never liked her hair up, so she always wore it to her shoulders. He didn’t like her in skirts or shorts, so she always dressed down. And when he thought her friends were too opinionated, she soon grew distant from me as well. When he eventually left, she had completely lost who she was. And once upon a time I fell in love with a boy who was afraid to cry because his whole life he was told that it made him weak. So day by day he’d let his problems eat away at him until eventually it consumed everything he was. What I’m trying to say is, be careful of your words. These might be small instances, but the biggest issues are usually hidden beneath a million smaller ones. Everyone is struggling in little ways. Be kind."
Sana makaya ko and sana matanggap huhu
I've reached the point in my life where goodbyes don't hurt as much as they used to. It's not because I've gone numbed or I don't value people anymore, but more because I've learned that life's too short and way too busy to keep everyone inside our bubble. No one told me this, but burning bridges in life is necessary. It allows us to focus on the people we really love, those who stayed, while letting those who were meant to just pass by enjoy their story. I'll be forever grateful for everyone who found it worth their while to know me. Whenever people say goodbye—and most times they don't say it in words—I learned to accept it with an open heart. I still thank them inside my head with a promise that I will never forget the piece of themselves that they shared with me. And then I move forward, with hope that I can make the best out of those who chose to stay to the right of me, and those who stayed to the left of me.
Some people swear they’re open to conversation, but the moment you speak up, they shut down, deflect, and play victim. That’s not being open—that’s being allergic to accountability. And the truth is, you can’t reason with someone who’s already decided they’re never wrong.
slowly accepting the fact that life doesn’t always go the way we want.
Maybe I was not meant for dating, and that’s okay. The world makes it seem like love is the ultimate destination, but maybe mine is a different path. Maybe I was meant to pour my heart into dreams, passions, and people who don’t demand romance to feel loved. Maybe my story is about learning how to enjoy sunsets alone, about turning loneliness into strength, and about proving to myself that wholeness does not require a partner to complete it. Perhaps I was not meant for dating because my heart was built for something else—something deeper, quieter, and freer. I find peace in not chasing what doesn’t feel right and comfort in knowing that love isn’t measured only by relationships. Maybe I was not meant for dating, but I was meant to love in a thousand other ways—through kindness, through art, through friendships, through living fully on my own terms. And maybe, just maybe, that is more than enough.
this is teacher Karla, telling the parents (maybe it was on PTA meeting) about helping each other sa pagpapalago ng values ng mga students. “Ang values po, kayo ang magtuturo sa bahay— kami pong teachers ang mag r-reinforce sa school. Mahirap pong i-reinforce ang value kung hindi ito naturo sa bahay, ” she said. “It takes a village to raise a child— partners po tayo, we have to work together, ” she added. i totally agree on what she said, pero yung mga comments sa video?? grabe, hindi ko in-expect na ganon yung magiging response ng parents. like, mag a-anak kayo tapos hindi n'yo kayang turuan ng values sa loob ng bahay?? jusko. these are some of the comments na makikita mo talaga na even the parents didn't posses the values that teacher Karla was talking about. mukhang kailangan din nila turuan ng values— geez, parents are not parenting ha. “Dapat ikaw magturo kc siniswelduhan ng gov.” “Pano nman yong mga magulang na wlang pinag aralan, ano ang maittuturo kung wlang Alam ang magulang.” “Dapat di nalang nag teacher kung ganyan ang complain. Halatang may beef sa mga bata.” “Okay ma'am, pashare din po ng sahod mo ma'am partners po tayo...” sabagay, paano mo ituturo ang isang bagay (values) kung wala ka naman non, diba??
sometimes life feels so big and i feel so small, i get scared and overwhelmed with things i don’t know at first, but then i get over it and have that courage along the way (some sort of small wins every time from learning something new) sooo let’s give ourselves some love and credit xoxo
A bubble never claims permanence, and maybe that’s what makes it beautiful. Its life is brief, yet in that flicker of time it shimmers with color, weightless and alive. Some things don’t need to last forever to matter, their gift is the wonder they spark while they’re here. A reminder that not every joy has to endure, some are enough simply because they existed at all.
Courage begins as a whisper inside you. The decision to show up, to take the step, to keep going. But it’s rarely sustained alone. Support gathers quietly - in the friends who check in, in the family who steady your hand, in the community that reminds you you belong. Courage is personal, but it’s made possible by the collective.
"At least the bills are paid" era. The period of life where you're broke but not unemployed, you're working but not earning, and you're living from paycheck to paycheck. Not all broke working adults are broke because of spending habits, some are broke because they're the breadwinners. If you're in this era, keep taking comfort in the fact that the bills are paid. You, prioritizing your responsibilities (especially if they're not your obligations to begin with) won't go unnoticed. I'm proud of you.
People are angry with Netflix for the lack of black representation in the original series 'Wednesday'...
I used to hate her for leaving the church. I told myself she gave up, turned her back, walked away from the truth. But one day, God showed me something painful yet necessary; I was one of the reasons she left. Yes, it's not right to leave the church. But sometimes, it’s not just about weakness or rebellion. Sometimes, it’s about the wounds we never saw ... the cold shoulders, the silent judgment, the harsh words masked as “truth.” Before we judge someone for walking away, let’s ask: Did we make them feel safe? Did we welcome them with love, or push them with pride? We’re called to build the body of Christ, not break it. Let’s be the reason someone stays ... not the reason they run away.
They say “take initiative.” But when you do, suddenly it’s “who told you to do that?” and now you’re the bida-bida. 🙃
There are days when you simply don’t feel like talking to anyone—not even your closest friends or family. You might avoid conversations in person, on the phone, through messages, or even on social media. It’s not because you don’t care, and it’s not necessarily because you’re in a bad mood. Sometimes, your mind and body just long for silence and inner peace. There are moments when your soul craves solitude, giving you space to reflect and sort through your thoughts. And if you find yourself pulling away or needing distance, it doesn’t make you a bad or unkind person. It simply makes you human. It’s okay to have days when you break down, when you need quiet, when you choose yourself. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for honoring what your soul truly needs.
One plant bloomed. Another grew taller. Another grew deeper roots. Same seed. Different kind of growth. And I realized not all progress is visible. Not all growth looks like flowers. Sometimes it’s reaching higher. Sometimes it’s holding steady. Sometimes it’s digging down quietly, unseen. Because not every season is about blooming. Some seasons are about building. Some are about preparing. Some are about laying foundations for what’s next. So wherever you are.... whether you’re blooming, standing still, or quietly strengthening... Remember this: IT ALL COUNTS It’s all progress.
So here's a movement that's worth joining---we're finally SHAMING folks who flash their ill-gotten wealth 💰💰💰 unapologetically. Shaming is just the start. There's also RESEARCHING, REPORTING, and VOTING, that can follow more intensely. Lahat naman easier said and done in life but this is the trajectory we need to trigger change. The billion-peso question is....are these folks (sharing here the viral tiktok posts and their screenshots) being treated unfairly online? And who among the accused will be proven guilty, or held accountable? In the meantime, let 👏 the witch👏hunt👏 continue!!! I'm curious kung sino ang papalag---because the moment you challenge the Filipinos---we will gladly open that grand can of worms for you.
Sometimes the hardest part isn’t the landing, it’s deciding to leave the ground at all. The jump itself may be small, but it asks you to trust yourself enough to leave where you are. In that moment, you’re not just clearing the rope, you’re crossing the space between hesitation and possibility. And that, in itself, is an act of courage.
I may not say it, but I notice things. I can tell when someone’s energy shifts, when the tone changes, when the conversations feel forced. I know when I'm being kept at a distance, when someone’s only half-listening, half-caring. I don’t always react or bring it up because I’ve learned to let people reveal themselves. I’ve learned that silence and indifference are answers too. So I observe, take note, and slowly pull back. Not everything needs a confrontation. Sometimes, distance is the response.
Sorry, not sorry — but I’m not buying this story. The math just ain't math'ing, and it honestly sounds more like a promo plug for OFFCon than an actual experience. Don’t get me wrong, it’s inspiring if TRUE, but let’s fact-check too. Being a Virtual Assistant isn’t a walk in the park. As an on-and-off V.A myself for seven years, I know you can hit 6-digit earnings in PH — but usually that happens when: - You’re handling multiple international clients, - You have rare, in-demand skills, and - You’re pouring in countless hours of work. It takes real grind — late nights, constant learning, and consistent upskilling to reach that level. Now with Glenda’s story, she shared in her interview with Karen Davila that she started on oDesk at 12 and became a call center Team Leader at 14. Sure, ID verification back then wasn’t as strict, so maybe it’s possible, but let’s be real — at 12 years old, what could she realistically bring to the table for a client to pay her 200K? If it truly happened, it deserves further elaboration. Otherwise, let’s not glamorize being a V.A by skipping the reality: Success here takes years of sweat, patience, and skills.
may september be soft on us — like a kiss on the forehead, kind, light, and gentle.
A soft reminder to slow down. Sometimes, comfort looks like warm light and a quiet sip of tea. Let that small peace be enough today.
I want to apologize to all the people l've lost connections with, to the friends I failed to send greetings on some occasions especially on their special days, to those who were once my human diaries that I no longer send updates, to my circles I rarely hang out with. Know that I never considered our friendships and bonds over. Neither did I think of burning our bridges. There might be just some spaces formed out of busy days and individual priorities. But you were never out of my prayers. I still long for your presence, but these days, I am already happy seeing each of you gradually reaching your dreams. I am cheering you from afar. I am proud of you, though I may not be vocal. I believe that deep and strong connections do not require constant catching up, because no distance and duration of silence can break a genuine bond.
