"At least the bills are paid" era. The period of life where you're broke but not unemployed, you're working but not earning, and you're living from paycheck to paycheck. Not all broke working adults are broke because of spending habits, some are broke because they're the breadwinners. If you're in this era, keep taking comfort in the fact that the bills are paid. You, prioritizing your responsibilities (especially if they're not your obligations to begin with) won't go unnoticed. I'm proud of you.
