Things to do when you feel Unmotivated!
Do you sometimes feel unmotivated or you are lacking of motivation to do things? You're not alone. For the past few weeks, Rusty visited me, I think only 3 days then left again but I'm still thankful for it though.
Concentrating and being productive to our daily lives has been challenging for most of us. There a lot of distractions that came to us that can cause to lose our focus and feel unmotivated. So, if you want keep back on track and make your motivation meter grows up, try these tips as I do some of it.
Set a goals
You might feel unmotivated because you really don't know why you are doing things and where it will end. Therefore, you should set your goals but make it a SMART one (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound). So, how you can do it? Track your progress, check the thing you already made and celebrate even your small wins to increase your self motivation.
Plan achievable goals for a day
If you already set your goals, use a checklist to plan what you want and need to do for a day. It will help you to be feel more complete because whenever you saw a cross off items you might also feel accomplished.
However, create an "achievable" goals to make to lessen your stress and ease your mind. Don't list an item that can't be achieve in a day, for example you want to graduate now, and we know its really impossible because the class just started. Get my point? Just be realistic and always remember your SMART goals as letter A stands for Attainable.
Give yourself a break
If you are feeling unmotivated, it is not bad to give yourself some time to relax, refresh your minds, breath. A lot a moment to rest, and don't let yourself drown from negative thoughts and overwhelm by many things. Stay aways from self-destructing ideas because it might not helping you and it will only crash you down.
Instead, give yourself a break, look for your own strength, and think positive. Don't scroll to much to your social media accounts or lessen you usage of any technology because you might feel distracted in doing things that you needed to do.
Create your personal motivational mission
Have your own personal motivation or a strong reason why you need to act and accomplish something. When you're losing your motivation, remind yourself with that and always look for the brighter side of a situation. Make a negative questions in your mind into a positive one. It will also helps you to be more motivated and productive.
Always tell your inner self a positive information such as "I can", “I am able to”, “this is possible”, and "nothing is impossible".
Repeat it with the learnings you earned
Lastly, commit what you started by repeating it with more learning that you gained through out the day. One of those learnings that's always present is the famous line "accept mistake". To be able to repeat the process we should learn from failures, gain knowledge from those, and apply it to the next stage of life.

I agree with forcing your mind to do otherwise. Also giving yourself a break and not getting involved in distracting activities all do well to prevent.
