B.A.C.O.T (Bad Attitude Control Of Tongue)
As social beings, we need to communicate with other people. Can be direct or using tools, communication is part of our daily lives. Maybe because we are used to it, sometimes we don't really care about etiquette when talking to other people.
Ethics is very important in social life. By knowing and applying ethics, we will avoid bad behavior that is not accepted in community around us. So that we will be known as polite and civilized people and liked by many people.
So, we need to learn about ethics in various aspects of life, including in terms of communication. Many people around us may have met him, but I suggest you better maintain etiquette when communicating with others. I try to give some suggestions for you, hopefully it can improve my communication with you, to be more polite to other person.
Focus on other person
When talking to another person, keep your full focus on that person. Look into her eyes and take good care of her words. Of course that doesn't apply if you're doing things that require full concentration, such as driving. But in general, talking to other people without really focusing on them is impolite.
Keep your body posture polite
In addition to words, body posture when talking to other people must also be maintained in a polite manner. For example, don't talk with your arms crossed over your chest, your hands in your pants pockets, or other way around. Doing so can give impression that you are arrogant, rude, or that you don't really care what person has to say.
Position of body also deserves our attention. If someone else is talking while standing, you must also stand, unless person is under you. Meanwhile, when talking to small children, you should lower your body or sieve so that child does not need to be too high to see you. Even small children we need to maintain ethics.
Don't dominate conversation
Communicating with other people includes two things, namely speaking and listening. You need to be balanced in both ways. Don't dominate a conversation by talking too much, especially if you dominate other person until words speak. It is very rude and may be a misunderstanding on your part.
Too much self-harm. When you talk, you can exchange ideas and even learn from your opponent. But if you keep talking, what benefit do you get from the chat? Give other person a chance to speak and you may gain knowledge or a new perspective from his words.
You better watch your tongue or your mouth, so you don't talk too much, and don't forget to pay attention to your attitude and politeness to others because I've heard saying "your mouth is your tiger" so, keep your tongue so you can talk that doesn't cause disputes. Watch video below! Things like this happen because emcee does not keep his tongue.
