Perhaps, you are a writer before or started to write something but unable to finish and stumbled upon this article wondering how to revive your passion to write again. Through this article, I am sharing my ideas and experience why I stopped writing and later continued to do my thing. Just like what I have experienced, in the course of this article you will be discovering about why did you lost interest in writing (plus the positive thing that you can do despite of having lesser time to write), what really drives you to write again and the bonus part which is about the interesting topics that you can choose to start writing with.

Being a writer is not easy that you have all the ideas right away which you need to put in your writings. Sometimes, a writer may experience a writer's block* and can't proceed to his or her masterpiece. This may lead sometimes to abandone his or her writing. This is just one of the many reasons why a writer stops writing. But what will happen if you have abandoned your desire or lost interest in writing? What if you will realize later to start or continue doing your ultimate passion?
*Writer's Block - a writer is unable to put words on his or her piece of work. It happens to most of the writers. They become out of focus on the work they're writing.
Why Did You Lost Interest in Writing?
Before rediscovering your passion again in writing, let us discover first the reasons of abandoning to write. These were the reasons that stop or hinder a writer to write. On the other hand, I have included the positive thing you can do despite the reasons of unable to start or continue writing. The following reasons below are not arranged or ranked in order. This has not been researched or copied anywhere else but this comes from my personal knowledge and/or experience only.
Switched Passion
If you have found new interest or changed your hobby, this may lead to forgetting the things you used to do before like writing.
The Positive Thing: It's not bad to switch to other hobbies because with that you can learn new skills which you can use in your daily life or your experience with it can be used even in your next article especially if you continue doing your passion in writing.
Social Media
Scrolling through your Social Media feeds can sometimes eat up your time. Spending few minutes to Social Media sites which lead to few more hours will lead you to become less productive since you have accomplished nothing. Spending too much time on Social Media will lost focus in writing.
This is so true that Social Media (watching viral videos, reading posts and memes, etc.) has eaten my time and I even forgot or abandoned some of my written masterpieces. So better, spend less to Social Media sites if you really wanted to succeed in productive things.
The Positive Thing: But if you found valuable information in your feeds, you may write something about it and share it later in your writing.
On Vacation
You did not want to be bothered with your vacation. So, you won't write.
The Positive Thing: But if you have a good time with your vacation and want to cherish the memories, you can document it or start writing about it. Soon, make an article about it with your photos and other media files.
Attending School
You did not want to have additional loads in your academic. So, you won't write.
The Positive Thing: But if have vacant time or lesser academic loads, you can do studying and writing at the same time.
Corporate Job
You have a regular job in the corporate office so the time you will have after work will be for the family. So, you won't write.
The Positive Thing: But if you have vacant time or maybe during rest days or weekend, you can still write your masterpiece.
Other Business
You are doing your business. So, you're doing the daily business operation, doing the accounting and finances, paying bills, stocks puchasing, inventory management and other aspects of business management. So, this hinders you to write.
The Positive Thing: During your free time, you can start few sentences or paragraphs. Turn it later to an amazing whole new masterpiece.
Family Matters
Maybe you encounter family problems and can't concentrate to do your passion to write.
The Positive Thing: Find a time and place that you can focus your attention to write.
Health Constraints
You might think of others' success and wonder why it didn't happen to you. In time, you might think it over and over again and it may lead to anxiety and depression. With this, you can't actually start writing.
The worse is if you suffered other major illnesses, you can't really start doing your passion especially if you feel the pain most of the time.
The Positive Thing: Don't compare your journey with the success of other people because their success isn't the basis of your success too. Instead, make their success as an inspiration to do more to achieve your goal.
Unavailable Tools
If you lack the tools for writing, you can't really even start one.
As for me, I really can't start writing with my laptop as my main tool for writing. Since almost half of the screen of my laptop sometimes turns to white then other times to black. So, I can't use it anymore especially when making my document drafts.
The Positive Thing: Use other tools like paper and pen (then transfer it later when a computer is available) or your mobile phone. With your mobile phone, you can download a text editor app or any word processing app where you can start writing your literary piece.
Lost Files
Your computer has been infected with digital virus and you can't access your files anymore. If you don't have any backup for your files like your written articles, images or other media files, maybe you can't continue writing.
The Positive Thing: Always update your computer software and download an anti-virus app which will protect your device and your important files. Through this, you can always access your files which you can use it in writing your articles.
So, those are the ten reasons you might encountered which stopped you to do your enthusiasm in writing. Did you find three or more reasons why you stopped writing? Whatever reason or reasons you might have, there's still a reason to rediscover your first love which is writing.
What Really Drives You to Write Again?
So, you're done with discovering your reason or reasons why did you stop doing your passion to write. This time, how would you revive that dying passion? In this part, you'll rediscover what really drives you to write again. Rediscover writing as your ultimate passion. The following reasons below are not arranged or ranked in order. Your Expertise
Become an expert of your topic. So, you wanted to start or write again because you feel that this is your field of expertise. This is the field you feel that you have the spot. This is the field that you want to grow.
Become Famous
If you have the goal to be known or even famous in the field of writing, then this is your chance. This is your opportunity to be discovered. This is your time to shine.
Issue Awareness
You wanted to share awareness to your readers about a certain issue. Through writing, you will be able to deliver your purpose.
Develop Skills
Rediscovering your passion to write is also developing your skills again. Enhance or polish it through your written piece.
Unemployed Status
Since you are not employed or maybe waiting for an employment, you can start working with your hobby for writing. So while at home, think of any topic that'll interest your readers. Please see the bonus section of this article about the topics you can choose from.
Earning Opportunity
Isn't it rewarding, doing your passion while earning real money? Earning extra cash from your written manuscript is sometimes a great motivation to start doing your skills in writing.
But for me, earning some extra cash is just a bonus. The most important thing in my writings would be the purpose or the message that needs to be delivered to my target audience or readers.
Others' Success
You've seen the success of others. So you aim to be like them, too. But always remember that their success is not the basis of your success too. Instead, make their success as an inspiration to start making your passion which will lead you soon to your own success.
Help Others
It is your passion to write as you wanted to help other people that they may accept your views, understand your topic, internalize it and apply in their own living.
As for me, I started blogging here on read.cash by creating a project dedicated to help the needy especially the students in elementary and highschool. Aside from that, I am extending my help in some other aspects just like creating quality articles that will give value to my readers.

So, you have all the resources available. You have the computer where you can encode your manuscript, good internet connection for researching, ideas and skills for writing. Why not start as soon as you can?
Inner Motivation
Your mind is telling you about it. Your heart dictates you about it. That inner voice is telling you to do your ultimate passion - to write.

Aside from local issues in your country, you can also write about worldwide issues like the COVID-19 pandemic, the recent Afghanistan issue of Taliban overtaking Kabul and the rest of the country and many other hot international issues. What is your thought about these issues? What does the health professional say about COVID-19 vaccines? How did the Afghans face the issue of Taliban? All these and many other issues can be an interesting topic in your article.

You may start writing by making a review to the movie or videos you have watched. You can also write a review to a book or story you have read, a blog you have just finished reading, a product that you've just used or tested and many others.

There are a lot of scams online nowadays. Maybe you have seen the spread of these scams in the internet. Because of this, you can actually start writing about it. Gather information about it, discover and uncover the style or method of the scammers and expose it in your writing to make your readers aware from these online frauds.
Earning Opportunities
If you are always online and tried some earning websites or apps, you may share it in your writing how to do the same and earn. You may start with the process or give your readers a guide on what to do or what are the tasks in order to earn from the said websites or apps.
If you are a cryptocurrency enthusiast, you can also write about how to buy and sell any kind of digital currency, how to acquire crypto wallet, what is the trending cryptocurrency that is valuable to hodl at the current time and the like.
Spiritual Faith
One of the most interesting topics that you can start writing is about your spiritual faith. Whether you are a Christian or Muslim, speak up and be proud of your faith.
