My last meal with my husband before he was tested positive and then he sent himself away from us to keep us safe - was this thing called 'otak-otak'. My mother-in-law actually bought this from Penang. And this 'otak-otak' travelled all the way from Penang to Kuala Lumpur then to our stomachs. 😜 Interestingly, when I was young, I refused to eat this when my mum offered because 'otak' in our language (Malay language) is brain. So I thought there was brain in it. I was visually affected when I see it, and was already imagining brains being smashed eventhough my mum told me few times it was only fish. Haha. Ya... So there are some similarities in our languages. I may wanna learn Tagalog in the future before travel to Philippine for holiday. =)
Oh so brain in your native language is otak. In our native language, tagalog, it's "utak". Malays are our ancestors after all. We have some rhyming words in our language.

Indonesians and Malays are the first few people who lived here before the Spaniards invaded our country. They are originally our ancestors. Aside from the language, we reassemble them too.
