The turkey is ready lol and so is the ham. Merry Christmas everyone. Still tomorrow for us but I'm starting my cooking now and roast beef is to cook tonight. Oh, I'm excited! 😁

Lesson Learned Today I went to the post office to put money on my card. I counted the money first and the teller count it and it was £500. I put in my card and it was declined twice. It must be offline so I said that's okay I just try again tomorrow and she handed back my money. I went to do my shopping. And before I left the shop I don't know why but I check and count my money and it was not right. I only have £440 even if I add the other notes I have my money is nowhere near £500. So I went back to the post office and talk to the teller and she insist that she never put the money in the register until the transaction is successful so that should be the right money. But I also insist that my money isn't right and I say it nicely not insinuating that they took my money but I know mistakes can happen. So what I did was I told the manager, I also work at the shopping centre and I just want them to double-check their money. I told them I'm not in a hurry even after their shift where they do settlements and I can just leave my number. Coz I'm sure that I have other £20 notes aside from the Queen's head which are the ones that just left. So if I'm right there are 3 of them missing. They are very helpful, they did the settlement and count at the till and I'm so relieved to get back my £60. Lesson learned and it's my mistake, I should have counted the money when they handed it to me. So learning from this experience of mine, count first whatever money transaction you're dealing with.

Scarlet Fever She barely sleep last night. She's crying coz it's itchy plus the coughing and sore throat are not easy to deal with. She had her first 24 hours of antibiotics hopefully it helps and soon be gone.

A customer came today to change a rug. Before she left she gave me these. A hand cream that smells so good and £10 note. She said I can use the hand cream as the last time she saw my hands are bruised with me rolling rugs. Very kind and thoughtful. Such a great blessing. May God bless her more. ❤

My poor Tia after recovering from chicken pox now she got scarlet fever. There are cases of scarlet fever and strep at her school and it's awful, especially this time when Christmas is just around the corner. She got a temperature. Her throat is so sore that she won't eat. She's plastered with fine rashes that feel like sandpaper. Strawberry tongue. I prayed that she will be better for her much anticipated day.

Tia to Santa: I want a white cat and a flamingo for Christmas. Did you receive my letter? (I didn't hear what Santa said but lol she got a pack of chocolate from him so she's happy enough.) We enjoy the train ride and Tia had a picture taken with Santa's helper. 😊

Kids, teenagers and even adults are getting crazy about this Prime drink. It's always sold out or out of stock. It is exclusive to Asda. Jigz begged me for this for months but I couldn't get any and now I got lucky after having a customer from Asda who was able to save me these. It's restricted to 3 bottles per customer. It's serious when they open as everyone is running and ready to push and fight for a bottle. Crazy.

For today's dinner, I cooked smoked fish, sauteed broccoli and cauliflower with rice for me and the kids and I made my husband tocino and rice. He loves sweet and sticky tocino. A delicious Filipino dish! 😊

You know it's not warm. Can you feel me now? Freezing morning, lovely people! It's hard to get up this time of the year. It's nice to stay in bed and cuddle with your blanket until you realized you have bills to pay and force yourself to get up to work. We already take the kids to school only to find out that Tia forgot her bag and we have to go back and now back to school again and she's late. That's a good start. 🤣 Have a great day all of you. Don't mess it up. 😉

Yey, it arrived! Got my husband a steel smartwatch for Christmas. He doesn't like rubber watches so I'm glad I've bought this online from Fossil. And got him a trolley jack and Tom Ford Black Orchid. That will keep him happy, lol. Oh, I'm excited! 😁

I've started wrapping some presents from Santa. Tia wants to get his address so she can send him a present too. But told her he will come to the house and make sure she leave him food and drinks at the fireplace. But she keeps looking at the fireplace and thinking and thinking and still can't figure out how Santa will be able to get through. And she said, "He won't fit!" 🤣

After 10 dreadful days of having chickenpox, my Tia is a lot better now. She is in the healing stage. It's really awful, the pain and blisters all over her body. And catching a cough and cold while on chickenpox made it worst. But all good. All is well. Soon she will be able to go back to school which she is looking forward to so she can join their class's Nativity Play. Happy Momma! 😊

My son, Jigz, will have his Winter Exam end of the month so I'm reviewing with him. He is in Year 8 now and just tonight that we were revising his French subject. Can I just say that French is challenging? I don't know how to read most of the words. I can't pronounce it. I bought 3 books. I'm relying on the app. It's hard! I remember when we were in Morocco and they can only speak French and Arabic and we understand nothing. Now, this is my time to shine. It would be nice to know a few words. I'm learning with Jigz and interestingly the numbers have similarities with our numbers (most of our Spanish-derived numbers with different pronunciations) Wish us good luck!

My Mischievous Tia She have two notebooks so she can draw and write whatever she wants but she choose to showcase her talent on the wall, her bedside table and even on the bed sheet. I shall remind her tomorrow that, that's what notebooks are for lol. My daughter's creativity/artistry always materializes during bedtime. I'm sure she's not the only one. Oh, I can only laugh while watching her asleep. Xxx

Dinner is done early as I made Mum a vegetable soup. Today we're having Mediterranean vegetables with gravy, chops and mashed potatoes. I also made tuna and egg fried rice with sausage that the kids love. It's a lovely Saturday! I'm with Thumper earlier on to feed him his carrots. Oh, he can eat! Tia and me this morning: Me: Tia put on your shoes. Tia: Mommy, I have it on. Me: Oh, I mean your coat! Tia: This is my coat. (Pointing to the one she's wearing). Me: Get your bag then. Tia: Mommy, you're holding it. She laughs and said to me, "You know Mommy, that's a sign of getting old." 🤣 I bet it is. She doesn't have to remind me. Cheeky! 😂

I was too early at work today so I went to Asda and got a fresh Pain Aux Raisins (don't know how to pronounce that 😆). That would do me for breakfast and to help me get through my shift. It's so fun when you buy the dip and it keeps dipping. It's so much fun that it brought tears to my eyes and regret lol. Why? Like, why? Can I just buy and it will miraculously pumps up in an instant? No. It doesn't work that way. Patience, my love. 🤣

I stopped buying Advent Calendar. Why? Because they keep opening all the doors on the first day and not even near Christmas yet and the calendar is empty. And that same goes for me. Hahaha. I just can't help it! 😁 And yes it's a joke. Have to buy an advent calendar for me and the kids but not yet or it will not reach December. Ho Ho ho 🤣

Ironing clothes, especially the uniform is one of my weaknesses. I hate ironing but lol I still have to do it. Oh, the pleats! Oh please don't make me do it one more time 🤣 This steam iron has been here for more than 50 years and is still doing its job! I still remember the heavy charcoal iron that we used to use back home. 😁 I have a very busy weekend. I'm doing a deep cleaning and it takes a lot of time. I hope you had an amazing weekend! ❤
