Fitness: 20th April 2022 + A Did You Know Fitness Question
So, my fitness schedule continued through the Easter week and weekend. I got a few long runs but mostly walks. The right heel hurts a lot, but ironically, it feels better as I run — Dunno what to make of it.
After a few days of walking, I decided to run today, which I did. The walking over the past few days helped the heel a lot. It was in much better shape as I took to running. Not only that, it was feeling alright as I completed my run. I can feel a little pain but not as much as before. So, things are working out. 😊
How did my schedule look today? Let’s find out.
I already let it out that today was all about my run, and I did close to seven-and-a-half kilometers. My pace was a shade below nine kmph which was also an improvement. I realize that the Mi-fit is not giving accurate distance. The exact distance sometimes shows as 7.18 kilometers while sometimes as 7.52 kilometers. I couldn’t be making four hundred meters (or nearly half a kilometer) just like that. So, my exact distance stays a mystery for the time being. I guess I will have to get a Garmin smartwatch to get a precise reading.
Once home, I did some weights as well. I focused on my arms and abs with some extra reps. It was quite a satisfying experience. I will have to do meditation a little later in the day. But I did manage a few sessions of Ho'oponopono. For those wanting to learn more about Ho'oponopono, here is my write-up on the topic.
Formula 1 is a sport that constantly shatters all speed records for the fastest and most versatile cars on the track. Road cars don't stand a chance. Every now and then, the drivers of these cars also make it to the record books.
Max Verstappen, the current Drivers World Champion, holds one such record. Max holds the record for the youngest driver ever to have won a race. The race in question was the Spanish Grand Prix held in 2016. Max, the winner, was just 18 years and 228 days at that race. That's just above the legal driving age in most countries.
This is one record certified by Guinness as well. Way to go, Maxxy! 😊
