2022: Most Toxic Election

This Election 2022 is the worst and most toxic election for me. I respect everyone for what they decide and who they want to vote for in this election because that's what I also want, to also respect me for who I want to vote for. But what I don’t understand is why there are supporters who no longer know how to respect other people who don’t side with them.

NOTE: Everything I will say in this article is just my opinion, I don't have time to fight or debate in case you don't like everything I say here.

I admit I am a certified and solid BBM (Bongbong Marcos) supporter in his run as a Presidential Candidate for our country. But I respect everyone who has other supported candidates. And I just want you all know that I am not against Vice President Leni Robredo running as President too. I also respect all the supporters of VP Leni Robredo. They may see something in her that I don't see.

Anyway, I just have some things that I don’t like about her, especially with her negative supporters. And that was their negative campaigning and bullying. Full of slander and disrespect to their fellow candidates especially for BBM. That is why instead of gaining the trust of others, they are losing more and more people's respect for them. Why do you need to focus on discrediting and bullying others when you can focus on your own platform and on how to win people over, especially people who don't trust you yet? Add more of her supporters (I don't include all of them) who are too much into bullying people against them. Can't we just respect who we want to vote for in this election? No fighting, no profanity, and bullying?

Honestly, especially on Facebook, what you see, read, and watch about them is very alarming. Instead of these supporters helping VP Leni to gain other people's hearts, what they are doing is pure negativity and toxicity that further brings down VP Leni.

I just want to Share these other alarming actions of these negative supporters that are no longer fun to see.

Is it right for them to make noise and rally right in front of the INC (Iglesia ni Cristo) church? Where are the old times when we respect every religion? It seems to have disappeared because of this election. Just because INC Church supported BBM, this is how these supporters have shown rudeness. If there was no respect left in their bodies, at least they would have had at least a little decency in what they were doing. It is embarrassing to think that even the church of other religions will be insulted by these people, just because they are against the candidate they support. They don’t deserve profanity just because of politics.

Even the Catholic Church is losing my respect for its involvement in Politics. Let's say that they also have the right to support their candidate like INC but the fact that they almost made VP Leni a saint even inside the Sacred House of Christ, doesn't seem right already. Even the sacred image of Mother Mary was not respected, they made it the image of VP Leni and even changed the prayers "Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you" into "Hail Mary full of grace my vote is with you"! WTH right?! Is it right for the Catholic Church to allow this kind of thing? Even the priests are already wearing the color Pink. It is a great folly that they even involve God in such activities. Have they even lost respect for the Lord?

A student committed suicide just because of the bullying of his fellow student leader who is a supporter of VP Leni! Here I felt angrier with Leni’s negative supporters. When I read their entire convo before he committed suicide, the bullying that Leni's supporter did to him was very foul. Is this the kind of way we should fight for our candidate? To the point that you will throw too many offensive words at others who do not agree with what you want to vote for? To the point that someone commits suicide with your excessive foul words? There are many ways for us to fight for our candidates, ways that we can still be respected. Please don't get to the point where someone commits suicide just because you defended your candidate too much. You don't need to bully someone who is against your decision, because we all have our own decisions and beliefs in life. We are not the same. You can't insist on something that others don't like.

A video where the Leni Supporters seem to be in the procession. We all know that the procession is a sacred tradition. It is a symbol of our faith in the Lord. This is often done during the Feast or when there is a funeral. So this video is terrifying for me. Imagine they process a Jeepney with the tarpaulin of VP Leni and Kiko Pangilinan? WTH again! What is happening to these people? As if they were no longer in their own minds. They no longer respect the catholic religion. Is this still a campaign? Because they are like a cult that worships VP Leni. This is so wrong, and their actions are horrible as time goes on.

One of the worst I've seen! A 77 yrs old grandma with stage 4 cancer attending a Rally for VP Leni? Is it still right? Her own daughter risked her life outside, instead of resting in the hospital she was on the street where there were so many people that could harm her. What’s worse is we all know that there's still Covid around and this grandma doesn't even have a mask! WTH again! What kind of thinking is this? Thinking that the elderly are more prone to the disease, then they even brought her into this kind of event? And you can hear her daughter happily saying "Thank you, my Mom has stage 4 cancer but she had to attend the rally, lapit lang kayo (just come near her)". For God's sake! Her Mom is sick and prone to everything and she's asking people to come near her? Such a great child then. She put her own mother in danger, who should be resting and shouldn't get tired. Some people say maybe it's her dying wish, but hell no! If that were my Mom I will never bring her to such a place and event. I should be the one protecting her more than anyone else!

I really don't know what kind of mindset these negative supporters of VP Leni have. They are the ones who are destroying the name of their candidate. As I said there are a lot of ways to support our candidates and to get other people's hearts. Not in bullying or negative campaigning. Because if you show your support in this kind of way, then well you are not helping your candidate to win, instead you are causing them to dislike her even more.

Again I have nothing against VP Leni, I just dislike those people around her, especially those negative supporters who destroy her name and pull her down. I am against bullying and negative campaigning.

Today (May 9) everyone will decide who really deserves to be the leader of our country (Philippines). Let us vote according to our hearts and minds. Let us vote for who is really worthy to lead us. Let us not give in to the temptations of others. Let's take a closer look at who really stands up for us.
