I was in the online class when I suddenly felt an ache at the back of my head. It was not that kind of serious headache but because I am a bit conscious about my health, lol, I searched for it, the cause or the reason why I felt the sudden headache and how to avoid it. Then it pushed me to write this article.

HEADACHES is defined as the pain that we feel in any part or region in our head.
There are so-called PRIMARY HEADACHES. This occur when the pain we feel in our head is not because of illness or allegies. There is two types of Primary headaches:
CHRONIC HEADACES - This type of headache happens consistently that can last for days at a time.
EPISODIC HEADACHES - This type of headache happens sometimes or so often which can last from half an hour or more.
Let's study the THREE (3) MOST COMMON PRIMARY HEADACHES that includes:
MIGRAINE
CLUSTER HEADACHE
TENSION HEADACHE
SINUS HEADACHE
MIGRAINE
Migraine occurs repeatedly, it may be moderate or usually severe headache that affects one side of the head. It limits your ability to do your daily lifestyle as the pain can last for days.
There is a warning symptom known as AURA that might occur to some people before or during the migraine. It includes the visual disturbance like the flashes of light or the tingling the one side of the face or the arm or leg and and also trouble in speaking.
During attack, pain is often in both side of the head but is usually in one side. It may also bring vomiting and nausea, being sensitive to the light, sound and sometimes smell and touch.
CLUSTER HEADACHE
It may include severe headaches on one side of the head and the area around the eyes that leads to red or teary eye, flushing or sweating of the face and runny or stuffy nostril. The attack could last from 15 minutes up to 3 hours. It often occur like almost daily for weeks or months.
Doctors doesn't know what exactly the causes of cluster headaches but it may triggered by cigarette smoking or alcohol, heat, certain medicines, some foods and etc.
TENSION HEADACHES
A tightening feeling or dull or the pressure around your forehead or the back of your head and neck. This kind of headache is very common and is the cause of stress, lack of sleep, exercising too hard, hungover, brain freeze, skipping meals, dehydration and more.
Tension headaches may occur infrequently as it is usually short lived that could last within few minutes or hours. Rarely, some cases last up to days but when it last up to months, it will be called Chronic Tension Headaches.
SINUS HEADACHE
This kind of headache are usually associated with migraine or other types of headache. It is the pain or the pressure in the face or sinuses as it may feel like an infection in the sinuses. It occurs when the forehead, cheeks, and nose are congested and also when the sinus passages behind your eyes.
Sinus headache usually happens seasonally specially when you have allergies and it also happens when the sinus was triggered of some other reasons.
When our headaches are so severe and don't last up to days better go to the doctor to check it. There are over the counter remedies for some of headaches but we must follow the prescription of the doctor.
