Well, we know in fact and knew already that water is extremely essential to our body. We need it, we can't live without it and we knew some benefits of it. But this article will circulate on are we drinking enough water for our body or we just drink water only when we need it?

Water do a great job in our body that includes flushing out waste from our body, regulating body temperature and helping our brain to function. Do you know it? And that is why the water is very important to our body.

So here is also the ten (10) importance of drinking water.

1. IT HELPS PREVENT DEHYDRATION

The result of not drinking enough water is DEHYDRATION. So since water is what makes our body to function well, dehydration can lead to a serious problem to our body. And severe dehydration can give severe complications which includes kidney failure, swelling in brain, seizures. To avoid dehydration, drink enough water because water make up for the lost through bowel movement, urination, and sweat.

2. IT HELPS TO IMPROVE MOOD

One also the result of dehydration is fatigue, confusions and the like. So, dehydration can affect our mood. Drinking water helps to fight anxiety.

3. IT HELPS TO IMPROVE BLOOD OXYGEN CIRCULATION

Drinking water can give improve the circulation of blood oxygen as well as to have positive impact in our overall health as it carries good and helpful nutrients and oxygen in our entire body.

4. IT HELPS TO DISCHARGE WASTE THROUGH DEFECATION, PERSPIRATION AND PERSPIRATION

As I said in my introductory, water helps flushing waste in our body. Water is also used to sweat, to urinate and for bowel movement. When we drink water, we get sweat but sweat regulates our y temperature when we do physical activities or in the warm temperatures. Water also helps our kidney as it filters the waste through urination. Water intakes helps our kidney to function well and to prevent kidney stones. Also, water helps us to have a healthy stool and it avoids constipation.

5. IT HELPS TO REGULATE OUR BODY TEMPERATURE

Performing physical activities like exercising, gym workouts and the like or being in hot temperature environments makes lose of our body water. It is called sweating. It keeps our body cool but we have to maintain it by drinking water, replenishing the water we lose.

6. IT HELPS TO PROTECT BODY TISSUES, SPINAL CORD AND JOINTS

To better perform physical activities and to enjoy it and to keep out from a discomfort caused by conditions like arthritis, drink water. Because water helps to lubricate and cushion our tissues, joints and spinal cord.

7. IT HELPS NUTRIENT ABSORPTION

Water helps to digest our good. It also helps to dissolve the minerals, vitamins and any other nutrients coming from our foods or the multivitamins we take as it delivers these nutrient components to the rest of our body.

8. IT HELPS TO CREATE TO CREATE SALIVA

The main component of saliva is water. Saliva has a small amounts of electrolytes, enzymes, and mucus that is responsible for solid food breakdown and keeping our mouth healthy. But as we our body produces saliva by drinking enough water, our saliva production may decrease as we age or as a result of age or certain medications or therapies.

9. IT HELPS TO KEEP SKIN BRIGHT

Keep in mind that water alone is not sufficient to result the effects of aging but drinking of water will help our skin to keep and look hydrated and promote collagen production.

10. IT HELPS TO AID IN COGNITIVE FUNCTION

Also, in my introductory, water helps our brain to to function well. Drinking not enough water may result to affect our focus, short term memory as well as our alertness.

ALWAYS STAY HEALTHY AND HYDRATED

The question is, are we drinking enough water for our body?

Drinking enough water daily is important for our body and health. Do not drink water when the reason is we're only thirsty, drink water because we need it.

But how much is enough?

Based on the article of healthline.com and according to the National Academis of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicines, general water intake (from all beverages and foods) that meet most people’s needs are:

  • about 15.5 cups of water (125 ounces) each day for men

  • about 11.5 cups (91 ounces) daily for women

People get about 20 percent of their daily water intake from food. The rest is dependent on drinking water and water-based beverages. So, ideally men would consume about 100 ounces (3.0 liters) of water from beverages, and women, about 73 ounces (2.12 liters) from beverages.

DON'T WORRY FOR NOT DRINKING ENOUGH WATER YESTERDAY, WE STILL HAVE TODAY

Water intake can also affect the color of our urine.

Self love is also important because we care about ourselves and we care about our body. So always have a bottled water preferably the reusable to also help protect our environment. Keep in mind that health is wealth. ALWAYS STAY HYDRATED.

PS. I recently watched a clip of a doctor teaching the importance of drinking of water. He said that, the reason why we get headache or other body complications is that we don't drink enough water for our body. But don't drink too much, only drink what you really can and see the details above about the daily water intake.

Yes, that's true many prefers to drink soda instead of water when they're thirsty, and soda can affect badly in our body.
