Today I visit this stall called "津记"(pronounced " Jin Ji") to have my lunch. It is located at the Lot 10 Mall food court.

I order their Claypot Chicken rice with salted fish which cost RM15.60 per bowl.

Claypot rice also calls "rice casserole", is a traditional dinner dish from Southern China. It is very popular in Southeast Asia like Malaysia, and Singapore due to many Chinese here. The rice is presoaked, or in some cases, par-cooked, and finished in the clay pot with other ingredients which then flavour the rice.

Traditionally, the cooking is done over a charcoal stove, giving the dish a distinctive flavour. Some places serve it with thick, sweetened soy sauce and sometimes dried salted fish.

The food inside the pot loses little to no moisture because it is surrounded by steam, creating a tender, flavorful dish. Water absorbed within the walls of the pot prevents burning.
