Time To Build Your Blogging Confidence
We all have moments of doubt when it comes to blogging. Sometimes, writing a blog post feels like wrestling a bear—sometimes you win, but you're always going to come out of it a little worse for wear. It can be a tough business. But you're in for the long haul, and you're determined to stick it out.
Blogging is scary. You're putting your thoughts and ideas out there for people to read. And when you're first starting out, it can be hard not to wonder if anyone even notices what you're doing. But don't worry! These are all normal feelings that everyone has when they start a blog. The trick is just not letting them get in the way of your success.
Fear is only a problem if it's stopping you from doing what you need to do to get where you want to go. And if fear is stopping you from blogging and building up your capabilities, then it's definitely a problem. You're not alone. We all feel that way sometimes. But the truth is, you don't need to be a blogging wizard to create content that your followers will love. You just need to have confidence in yourself.
How to boost blogging confidence?
First, embrace the fact that you are a writer. You're reading this, so you must have a blog, right? And you've probably been writing your blog posts for a while now. So why do you still feel like an imposter? Why do you still feel like someone will knock on your door and tell you to get out of the blogging business? Well, I'm here to tell you that it's time to stop feeling like an imposter. It's time to start feeling like the confident blogger you are! You need to know that what you write is important. You need to believe that the world needs more of your words in it.
Second, surround yourself with people who know what they're doing Confidence comes from knowing you've got the skills to get the job done, and to do it well. But sometimes, that means learning new skills! If you don't have friends or family who run their own blogs, try looking online for a blogging community that can help mentor you and answer your questions. These are also great places to find guests for your blog!
Third, make sure you're using the right tools. Sometimes all it takes is finding a tool that will help automate some of the manual labor associated with blogging. For example, I use Grammarly and Quillbot to help me revise and edit my posts before they go live—it's saved me hours of time! Take some time to look into tools like this that will help you optimize your workflow and hopefully make blogging feel more like play than work.
Fourth, set and achieve small goals. When was the last time you sat down and thought through what would make you feel accomplished? Sometimes it's easier to reach bigger goals if we break them into smaller ones, like "Hit my word count for the day" or "Make sure my post flows." Just make sure the goals are realistic so that you can actually achieve them!
Lastly, remember why you started. You started this blog because there was something about it that mattered- whether it was the topic, the creative outlet, or simply giving yourself a new challenge. If you're having trouble finishing or publishing your blog, take a break and remind yourself what was so important about it in the first place! Don’t give up!
In Conclusion
Blogging can be stressful at times. If your mind is clouded by self-doubt and insecurity, it can be hard to come up with your next great blog post.
Confidence is something that takes time to build. If you're feeling down on yourself because you don't feel confident yet, that's okay. You're not alone.
There's a lot of pressure put on bloggers to always be confident and happy. But it's not realistic for everyone all the time.
Confidence is something that builds over time with practice and experience. The more you blog, the better you'll get at it. And the better you get at it, the more confident you'll become.

In its essence, blogging is all about sharing and expressing your opinion in life. And everybody can totally do it, if they can stand the judgment in the comments. But to be successful is a different story. The blogging landscape has changed a lot over the years and outside of Medium ( the blog curator ) you're expected to be able to sell something to the readers. When people read blogs, they're actually asking for help.
