Bitcoin BTC needed decentralized exchanges as soon as ten years ago. This is an answer article to ZapRead's founder and Coinbase's latest announcement.

Canadians are getting a dictatorship government that wants to know where their money is and what they do because the government wants to ensure no decent on their lines. They are becoming yet another great China where citizens don't have a say nor the right to protest government decisions over their own life and body.

I am fully vaccinated, but I don't support the enforcement of vaccine mandates over anyone who decides not to get a shot, their body their decisions. Still, the Canadian government thinks it's the owner of your body and soul.

Canadians trying to protest have been forced to use Bitcoin, and now that the government is trying to force banks and institutions to follow the blockchain, people who disagree with the government line can be shut down. They try to force people into compliance by removing their speaking ability and having money to move around.

If you have enough money, it is better to leave Canada or start at least making preparations to leave that territory because soon enough, another law will pass that will make more citizens criminals. You can bet it will be because such citizens disagree with The People's Republic of Communist Canada.

This is why Bitcoin needs a way to transact peer to peer and exchange value without the need for centralized entities like Coinbase and other centralized exchanges. Because of the 1MB rule, many things can't happen on layer one, which is why second layer solutions are being created, and now we have an answer to decentralized exchanges that work on Bitcoin's network.

RSK is a sidechain that merges mining with Bitcoin. It is a Federated sidechain protected by security chips, not fully decentralized, that the developers of RSK are working on a decentralized solution. And Sovryn SOV is the decentralized exchange where you can exchange your rBTC for stable coins, lend and borrow, stake, and earn yield. And soon, it will have perpetual contracts and zero-interest loans, and you don't need SOV to use the DEX. You only need to move your BTC into rBTC.

RSK is the sidechain for Bitcoin, and Sovryn SOV is the decentralized exchange that will end with confiscation and law like the ones happening in Canada. Not to mention that Bitcoin needs second-layer solutions. Well, there you have it. A second-layer solution is already working and brings DeFi to Bitcoin. Pretty much an ETH killer is Bitcoin.

And now, you can exchange rBTC using the LN-SOV decentralized bridge.

And I will finally add that Bitcoin Cash SmartBCH is the answer to both BTC and ETH because it adds cheap transactions that compete with both networks and that you don't need custodians at all. People now have options, and it will depend on personal preference and understanding of what cryptocurrencies are supposed to bring to the table and financial freedom for humanity.

It's really crazy that the government is asking for the recipient's details after making a Bitcoin transaction over 1000 CAD

You just don't comply end of the story, they can ask as much as they want but people can just ignore it and use peer-to-peer on and off-ramps to avoid centralized exchanges selling you out.

Exactly, people can just decide not to comply

Can you explain me about Layer 2? A few months ago I found out about a wallet where the Layer 2 system was used and the system is a wallet address with any name not like any address of coin or token that we use now. If you have trouble understanding I can send you a screenshot at noise.

Layer two is something like SmartBCH, RSK, Lightning Network, and others. So I don't understand your question quite well. Can you rewrite it?
