When he wakes up in the morning, he feels very good, as soon as he wakes up, Osman goes to the coffee house with his friends after his routine work at home.
He is still vigorous and healthy despite the years of fatigue, his life partner left him alone in this world 8 years ago and migrated to the other world.
Osman lives alone in his village, apart from his children, because all of his children are in the city and they are married. On weekends, they come to visit their father, meet their needs and do what needs to be done at home, satisfy their longing and return to their homes.
As soon as Osman steps into the Coffeehouse;
He says "Tea from me to everyone" and sits down at the table where his friends are. Each of them is childhood friends whom he sees every day and yet misses.
It is home to hundreds of memories of the life that he spent almost his entire life with them and shared with them.
Huge 71 years!
Tea comes, conversation begins. As the conversation deepens, laughter flies in the air and the atmosphere becomes more cheerful. Everyone is in good spirits and joy, little ones are at separate tables, adults are at separate tables, almost everyone is in a deep conversation with their peers.
Those who visit Turkey know the coffeehouse culture here, since the 16th century, coffeehouses have been a part of daily life. There is a saying for conversation in coffee shops that has been said for centuries and is known to everyone in the country. "The heart does not want coffee nor a coffee house, the heart does not want a chat, coffee is an excuse."
The first headman enters the coffee house, followed by isolation teams and everyone is surprised.
"Everybody put on their masks and open the doors and windows"
Muhtar goes to Osman with one of the isolation team, with a sad expression and a low voice;
"Your little son's covid test has been positive, you are one of the last people he contacted, the teams are here for you, they will take you with them for precautionary purposes"
The coffeehouse is quarantined and evacuated, other people at the same table with Osman are warned and warned to apply temporary quarantine at their homes for 14 days.
Osman looks at his friends with a sad expression but can't say anything, everyone has already distanced himself from him. Even the possibility of contracting the disease drove many of his close friends away from him.
Can't hug anyone!
Can't say goodbye!
Can't ask for blessings!
While going to the bus with lethargic steps, he asks one of the team next to him, whom he does not know,
"Is my son okay?"
"Yes, yes he is fine, he is fine, please don't be upset! It's just a simple precaution for everyone's sake."
As the bus leaves the village, Osman turns his head back, his eyes watering as if saying goodbye to his village. Passing by the cemetery, he looks at his wife's tombstone and raises his hands to pray, reciting Surah Fatiha for his wife's soul.
Osman's test was also positive and he was treated at the hospital.
Osman returned to his village today!
In a coffin with a green cover on it!
His grave was dug in the empty place next to his wife and Osman was buried in it!
Osman was just one of the millions who lost their lives due to Covid-19 in the world.
Many conspiracy theories about the epidemic have been written and drawn to date, we will never know exactly what is going on behind the scenes, but if even 1% of these conspiracy theories are true, I curse everyone who caused it.
Thank you for reading.
And now I it makes me saddened and remembered all those people who lost their lives due to this pandemic.
