Chefan Burgers!

Hi guys and gals! Today I am going to be talking about my favourite burger place in Guernsey, Chefan. Just because my boyfriend, @Andrea1511 , got me some take away cheeseburger and fries from there last night, amidst the torrential rain! I showed my appreciation by gobbling it up like a starved python. He also very nicely got me a bottle of Orangina soda with my dinner. Isn't he a darling!

Chefan is located in the heart of St. Peter Port just at Market Street. They specialise on burgers but they also sell different sides and drinks. This humble burger place has managed to get popularity in Guernsey despite not having any variations in cuisine. It has competed against a lot of gourmet restaurants in the island. You know why? Because it is really amazingly good! If you are a meat lover, like me, then you must try these burgers!

Aside from that, the island of Guernsey lacks fast food chains and most people who moved from the mainland do crave their McDonald's, Shakeshacks, Burger King, and KFC. Hell I do too! But I crave Jollibee mostly as I have a Filipino palate. But don't be mistaken, Chefan cannot be comparable to those mere fast food chains as their food is way better and healthier than fast food. That's why it is Guernsey's favourite burger place. Me and my boyfriend's, as well.

Not only do they make amazing burgers, they also are quite socially conscious and active. They offer vegetarian burgers for our non-meat eating friends, they also participate in community events by holding pop up shops, and they also give away their unused buns for free every weekend. Truly helping the community and also avoiding the wastage of food.

My boyfriend and I managed to get a bagful of free breads from them and we made a lot of great sandwiches and burgers from it. We truly enjoyed their free high quality bread and enjoyed being burger chefs for a couple of days. They may not be as good as Chefan's but we were proud to be using a component ingredient from them. Bottomline, I really do admire this burger place and will continue to advocate for it. Because despite this world being so cutthroat and capitalistic, they still manage to share and be generous to others. They make a mean burger too! Nomnom!
