Income from Reels, is it enough

I see a lot of people jumping out of jobs to do the reels. And they make a good income for some time. But making money off reels is not easy, and income is not possible to sustain either.

So I wanted to put down some of the points on if the income out of it is sustainable or not. And if we should do this type of the content for long time.

I noticed some people earn like 1000 USD or so in some of their channels, shorts and overall income out of the brand. But often that is not enough if you are in 1st world countries.

So let's talk about if the income from reels is enough for most of us.

Staged Comedy is Exhausting

Let's say you create small comedy videos for the reels. And you make use of solo or team for this type of the conent. You are going to be spending for light, camera, people and the makeup. Which is kind of burning more money than you earn.

And this also means that staged comedy is going to get boring if everyone starts to do each others content. And people too would realize that it is a staged comedy. You are not going to enjoy reduction of views and then earning because of this.

Making Reels forever is Hard

Imagine yous start at age of 18 to do reels. And people watch your content for like 4 years or so. And then you get bored and nothing new comes up. Because making people laugh forever is hard. Not even charlie chaplin was happy with it.

So making reel is not easy, it takes drops of blood out of your hard work and it makes you tired over a period of time. It just gives you money at the expense of the boredom and does not lead to same happiness few years back you had.

Age vs Content Type, Not Easy

Let's say you are at age 18 and now you are going to be 35. Would you have same energy for doing those things? Not so. In fact you would be struggling to survive with the various health issues as they come into your life.

Content creation with hands and video and audio is different. Audio and writing is still possible regardless of age but video dance and video acting is hard. Takes a lot of efforts and pain.

What about Money, Is it enough

I have seen shorts and the video reels pay good if you can bring the short amount of time for large traffic. And some of the platforms are paying good enough. You can earn money, setup some business and retire out of social media.

In short look at that as a short term income..
