My opinion about Corona virus lockdown in US

There are many complications involved with this subject. Including the protection of the people's rights. Based on OPINIONS about the best way to handle this medical situation, they are forcing A LOT of things upon citizens.

The fact that a lot of respected doctors don't agree that the lockdown was even a good thing to do health wise. It's likely prolonging the life of the virus. It doesn't even seem to be working enough to justify millions of families losing their jobs and small businesses. Possibly forever.

Some doctors and scientists that are experts on viruses and pandemics have said that they should focus on protecting the weak and elderly. Not all of this extremism. It has most likely caused way more damage than if they had just treated it like any other outbreak.

And here's my personal opinion....

Knowing that MOST of the actual deaths it has caused were elderly and weak....

If I had a job or small business and I didn't have any elderly living in my home. Especially if I had a family to feed, I would MUCH rather risk catching it so I wouldn't have to watch us starve, lose our home, or completely abandon a business I'd work so hard for.

That being said, OBVOUSLY people that are at high risk of death SHOULD be careful and protected. But never FORCED into poverty!

But, by going out, not only are you risking yourself catching it: you're risking helping spread it to others. Perhaps you'll recover just fine, but what about the people you infected? What about the people those people ended up infecting?

We should do more to care for each other.

Being young doesn't protect you against covid. Is a very infectious viral disease, and by very I mean very. Extreme measures are a necessity, or people die (of any age) sometimes for insufficient medical attention, sometimes just by not having money to paid for it. Is so infectious than a single person can infect 20 around him/her in minutes. And then I keep seeing is not been taking serious. While no economy can afford a permanent lockdown, here comes a dumb but very serious question:

What's worse: not going to work, or not going to live another week?

Of course it should be taken seriously. But not destroy peoples lives! And I didn't say young people aren't likely to catch it. And I said MOST of the deaths are elderly. Everything and every day there's countless risks of dying. It should never stop us from actually LIVING.

Agreed, I lost my job due to Corona. And It doesn't seem like the space will be coming back now that there is more online work, and I worked for a smaller company looking to cut costs over corona.
