How To Become A Successful HODLer?

I am definitely not the right person to write an article about this, but since this topic has always been in my mind for weeks, I guess it's time to let it all out. Besides, I'm always up for corrections, so feel free to write down all your negative reactions.

Anyway, since I'm not a successful HODLer yet, everything that you are about to read is mainly my point of view. Everything is based on my observation and personal experience too. So without further ado, here are SOME of the factors to become a successful HODLER:

Time

You need time to become a successful HODLer. Time to learn the basics. Time to explore the ins and outs of different wallets/exchanges. Time to apply what you have learned. Time to talk to different crypto enthusiasts about what's hot and what's not trend in the crypto space.

Time is, indeed, gold! If you don't have time, you won't learn any of these. No matter how eager you are to learn, it will be useless if you don't have enough time for it.

Determination

Another key to becoming a successful HODLER depends on your determination. Assuming you have all the time in the world, but you are not that determined to learn even the basics of the basics about the crypto space, in the end, you'll still end up empty-handed.

We all know in the crypto space, there are so much to learn, so many terminologies to remember, so many strategies to apply, and if your level of determination is kind of weak, then sorry to say this, but I don't think you would survive this.

Knowledge

Whether you're dealing with crypto or other things in life, you must at least knowledgeable enough about the subject.

In crypto space, your knowledge is like your armor while everything related in the chart is your enemy. You can never win a battle if you don't have the proper armor to shield yourself against your enemies. You will keep losing the battle if you don't know what strategy to take or when or how to strike best. As they say, knowledge is power!

People

You have time and determination but not with the right people, then I'm certain that your journey to your dream of becoming a successful HODLer won't be that easy; not to mention that it's going to be a boring one.

Having the right people will give you more inspiration to do better every day. We all know that HODLing a coin is never easy, especially if there is temptation everywhere, the price is dumping, people start to discourage you, and more. With the right people, you will feel more secured, inspired, and motivated. That's why if you want to be a successful HODLer, pick the right people wisely.

Goal

Some HODL to become rich. Others want to save some coins that they can convert into fiat in case of emergency or for their basic needs.

Every one of us has different reasons why we HODL. Regardless of what reason you may have, having a goal is what keeps every HODLer to stay in the game and focus on the game no matter what.

From the acronym itself, Hold On to your Dear Life, it means a HODLer holds its coin and guard it with his/her life until they finally reach their goal. Having a goal to achieve will also add more fuel to your soul.

#Club1BCH

If you think I won't mention #Club1BCH, then you're wrong! Aside from the right people, you also need the right club to give you more inspiration.

#Club1BCH was created to inspire, motivate, educate, and support anyone who wishes to HODL and aim to reach 1BCH or more this year. So far, #Club1BCH has already gained 639 members on noise.cash's chamber and is a trending topic on read.cash as well.

Co-founded by two great minds, @PVMihalache and @Eybyoung, #Club1BCH is now the most talk on both platforms, and soon, it will be all over the Internet and the entire world!

So if you want to become a successful HODLER this year, you should at least have these factors first.

I think this was awesome!! Great article ! I made the initial mistake of hodling too much , and never taking any profit off coins I had bought years ago 🤦 I'm glad that you woke me up to that 😁. I made the same mistake with the small investment I made in the stock market earlier this year too. I thought I was just supposed to hold it away , and then check it a couple of years later, but that's not the case. Actually it cost me a lot of profits. Even though you're huddling away you have to pay attention to the news concerning anything your invested in. I miss the penny stock that I bought for a dollar each and they went up to $8.00 because there was an announcement of a bigger company agreeing to buy out the shares at $5.00 ea. and I missed it because I didn't pay attention they even sent me updates on it and I just never looked at them. Now it's back to $2.46 and instead of 120 shares I only own 25 of the new ones but I'm hoping it goes back up it's a good company. Maybe somebody sees this and doesn't make the same mistake. When you're broke like me you can't afford mistakes that are totally unavoidable. I missed a big opportunity because I wasn't paying attention. It was in the news for months before it popped and Fidelity even sends updates. I only invested $200 in the whole account but I could have tripled my money if I paid attention.

I forgot to mention this. Yes, this is very important too. One should also monitor their wallets and the news from time to time. Thanks for adding this up here. Honestly, I don't read or watch news since 2020. LOL. But yeah, I guess I should start doing it again. I mean as long as it's crypto related and other important news then I should at least read them or watch them to get more relevant info.

"When you're broke like me you can't afford mistakes that are totally unavoidable."

Yes, no room for mistakes for people like us. We can't afford to lose more money coz we only have less. Anyway, thanks again for this one. And I hope you'll get more in the future. You deserve to gain more. :)

HODL stands for Hold On to your Dear Life. It means you HODL tight of your coin and not get tempted of selling or swapping it to another coin. If you want to learn more, I highly recommend you to read some of the articles of @Jane @Eybyoung @Ruffa @Eirolfeam2. They know better than I do. They also have a lot of useful articles that will help you understand more about the cryptospace.

But as a BCH HODLer for quite some time now, my piece of advice for you is, if you really want to have more BCH, you really need to be active on both read.cash and noise.cash. Write at least 1 article a day on read.cash and make a lot of noise on noise.cash. When you received your upvotes or tips, save them. If you can afford to keep them all, then that would be better. If you can't, try 50% of your total daily/weekly/monthly earnings and save it on bitcoin.com wallet. Monitor your wallet from time to time. Once you earn some profits, swap them to USDT and use that amount to buy more BCH once the price is low or red. Repeat the process. I hope this helps. :)

Hodling is a process which takes TIME, and we need to be DETERMINED and interact with the right PEOPLE, who may or may not be members of the #Club1BCH. Thanks for the share

I would add instinct. Many small projects out there ready to jump 10x, 50x, 100x. Once in a while play a wild card and invest $20 in something

Thanks for mentioning instinct. Hehehe. I guess I don't have that yet. 🤔😅

You are right on that if you have the knowledge and the determination but you ended up being with a company of short hands you are in trouble if your hand is weak. That being said, exit strategies are very important nonetheless. When there is profit, take it, when there is a drop, buy it.
