So, after 3 months of living abroad I came back to my island and to my city. Home sweet home! 😊 I was not able to do before and so I do now: I wish a cute 2023 for all of us! 😊

Buon Natale a tutti! ☃️❤️ Merry Christmas Everyone! 🎄🎅 Today for the first time I had the privilege to meet Basbous, a cat with a big personality, a king! 😁 I woke up with his roaring... and so finally after almost 2 months I succeeded in meeting him. An unexpected precious gift. 😊

In this period I was desperately searching for the christmas feeling, being totally unsuccessful. I don't know why I started to need this, in the last 10 years I never minded, but I was becoming a little bit sad about. I tried with the christmas tree, with the nativity scene, watching movies, eating food, going to christmas markets, walking among the people... but I didn't succeed. Probably because I'm far from my home and above all because here in Lebanon weather was still too fine. But yesterday suddenly temperatures went down and I had the chance to listen to 2 hours of christmas songs in an old church. Finally I have been able to feel the atmosphere I was desiring to breathe. 😊

After 5 days of the last seasonal influenza I'm finally better. It has been really bad, I didn't remember to have got something like this since a lot a lot of years. So, if you are able please, try to skip it! And, since I 'm not use to take medicines, I got bad side effects from them, too! 😣 Anyway all is over now and even if today it's a raining day for me it's a cute painless day 😊

I got the flu so this weekend I need to stay home. Yesterday night it has been orrible but this morning I feel quite fine and that's why I decided to make gnocchi di patate (potato gnocchi), hoping to make me and my partner happy for this sick Sunday lunch. 🤞

I took this picture in a big (international brand) supermarket in Tbilisi... because shocked me a little bit. They sell a lot of things like this, I could say everything. So you can find what you want either normally packaged, with a lot of choices, or unpackeged in this way. Anyway, I was not ready to meet the naked pasta, for some seconds it freezed me!

After weeks of eating only georgian and lebanese food (that I loved!) it's time to remember I'm italian and so I did one of my most favourite popular and poor italian recipe: pasta e fagioli! Perfect for winter (even if in Beirut now it's not so cold) I respect my personal tradition: 2 hot plates! And so now, with my tummy full and warm, finally I can feel life is wonderful 😊

Today I have to come back to Beirut. I loved so much the days in Georgia, a country I didn't know and that surprised me in a very good way. I leave with a basket full of great memories! One little thing I want to mention is that in Georgia, like in Istanbul for example, there are a lot of dogs and cats who belong to the municipality... they are so nice and always appreciate a caress. One morning I caressed a dog and he and his friends (the ones in the picture) followed me for 15/20 minutes 😁

I'm not used to live in a cold place and in Tbilisi now it's about 2 degrees (tomorrow it could snow). To survive I do 3 simply things: 1) I dress everything all together: vest, t-shirt, shirt, sweater, jacket, scarf, hat, gloves... 2) I keep walking 3) I drink a lot of very very hot chocolate. Well, in this way it seems I can survive... even if my mouth is quite cooked now. 😋

For few days I'm staying in Tbilisi, Georgia. Honestly I didn't know this city and I'm loving it: beautiful, clean, silent, perfect for long walking, full of mysterious nice urban streets and in this period you can breath the christmad atmosphere. And, unfortunately, food is too delicious... so it means my tummy will grow up again 😣

Since the first day I arrived in Lebanon I started to love to take in the morning some versions of mannouche. I even forgot which kind of breakfast I had when I was in Italy 😁 I like so much lebanese food and what surprises me it's that, even if Lebanon and Italy share the same sea, I can find here things I have never seen in my island, like unknown (for me) things, for example fruits and vegetables.

Ok, I decided to make simple homemade pasta by myself, using whole wheat flour. It has been my first try and it has been extremely easy. Outcome? I liked it!

Probably it's only a cloudy day but it seems summer is greeting us... less people than usual, a light cool wind, the sun never visible. And so a gentle melancholy takes my heart, I never enjoyed the beach like this year.

So I made dried figs this year and they came to be really delicious, so now I regret to have done so few, since the figs season is over. But then suddenly it came in my mind I could try to do jam with them, too. 😣 I need to wait for next year and try to remember what I will regret at the end of the summer. 😋

I discovered a little cute gecko 🦎 has chosen to live at the entrance of my home! Go Little Cute Gecko, become fat eating a lot of mosquitoes and flies, as much as you can to be the fattest gecko of the neighbourhood! 😁

Around my place is full of fig trees, so for me is a pleasure, while people are still sleeping, to take a walk and pick a little bit of them, every morning. It gives me a little nice joy 😋

Since a lot of days I was searching for a garlic cream to add to my sea food lunches and finally I think to have found what I wanted! I admit, I was ignorant, never in my life I tried before the greek tsatziki... today I made at home and now I feel to be addicted to it! I used on grilled bread, eating a grilled fish! Yummy My tsatziki was made in this way: I have grated and then dried cucumber, I have added smashed garlic, strained yogurt, extra virgin olive oil, mint.

Under the sea, while snorkeling, I have found this heart with a little message: "I veri sognatori non dormono mai." (Big dreamers never sleep, by Edgar Allan Poe). I laughed, because I had a big problem with insomnia and ironically I found this after having finally solved it 😋

One of my old desires, that sometimes come back in my mind, is to buy a metal detector and go to search for a spanish golden doubloon. Anyway in Italy it's illegal to search for antiquities and everything underground belongs to the Country. So the only places where you can see people with a metal detector here are the beaches... even if this guy went too far 😁

Good morning from a sunny hot sardinian beach to all the noise.cash people. I have definitely found the perfect time to come here, from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM. A long walk, a little run and a refreshing swim. In this way I can keep a good mood for the rest of the day. 😊

I have found an old coin while walking near the sea. As soon as I have seen a metallic disc on the sand among the waves, I really hoped to have found a super ancient coin: it was not, the coin is only 53years old... Anyway, I keep the coin and I keep the brief useless intense feeling, even if it didn't have a memorable end! 😋
