Sometimes it happens to find carabinieri ( the national gendarmerie of Italy) riding horses in the parks and it's always a cute feeling to imagine to be for a while in the old times!

During the Sant'Efisio day the first part of the loooooong procession is entrusted to oxen-drawn wagons, named. "is traccas" . This is so since the 17th century, before the automotive era, when people from all the part of Sardinia reached Cagliari exactly with the carrots you see in the pictures. About oxen, they are big and strong peaceful animals, you can touch and caress them and they don't move a muscle! Everyone of them has a name and they are used nowadays only for this day: a single day of job during a whole year!

My doctor said I need to eat healthier otherwise he has to give me some. medicine... and so I changed my breakfast introducing oat, that is able to give a very big help to the body. I started to prepare a overnight oatmeal every night before going to bed, so easy: I put 40g of rolled oats in a cup, I add a little of semi-skimmed milk and and then I put the cup on the refrigerator. Finished. In the morning I add what I want...

The first of May is a very important day in Sardinia: in my town, from every village of the island, thousands of people come, dressing their traditional clothes, to celebrate the patron saint. This year has been the 366th year. I'm not religious but I love this day, for a lot of reasons. Above all because I can see hundreds and hundreds of horses and touch a lot of oxen! 😁 in the following posts I will explain more things.

Like many other cities in Europe, Cagliari during the second World War knew the consequences of the bombing raids: a lot of destruction, a lot of deaths, a lot of sadness. Nowadays we still have the scars of that horrible period and this always reminds me how I cannot stand nationalism that forces people to hate the "others". I'm never too serious in my posts, but today I wanted to write this one seriously.

Hi, Dear People 😊 a very cute italian song is dedicated to the chicken. It says "chicken is not an intelligent animal and you can understand this considering how chickens watch people." When I meet a chicken I always remember this song and I'm still confused: are chickens intelligent or not? For example, this rooster I met, is he appreciating the contemporary art or he is in front of this stone only by chance? Probably I'll die without knowing the real answer to this hard question! 😞 P. Since I'm Italian (even if I prefer to say I'm Sardinian), it happens to me to make very italian things. Like tonight, an extremly windy night: a football match, a glass of wine, sardinian dry bread, walnuts, creamy gorgonzola. This nibble makes me think about all the people lived before me, who generated me. I don't know what is happiness, but sometimes the simple things like this make me feel I'm not far to be happy.

Good Morning People 😊 I casually came across a meeting of golden retrievers. Or better, a meeting of golden retriever's owners. Well... I don't know why they meet... probably because the golden retrievers belong to the same family and they need to celebrate some auntie's birthday of theirs. Yes, probably something like this.

Good Morning People 😊 Other stairs to climb... fortunately I still have an age not to be too scared by them! There are elevators too... so in the case I'll put me in a line, but I never do.

Beaches can be very beautiful in every season of the year, or maybe this is true for the warmer Mediterranean coasts, for example here in Sardinia. In winter a lot of spaces are organised to make sport, beach volley for example, but recently above all paddle tennis: it seems everyone want to play paddle! And so, along the beach, I meet many many people playing and laughing in beach paddle tennis areas! Amateur but also official tournaments.

In this period when I come back home I have always a big desire: to eat a portion of "casu axedu" ( literally: acid cheese). It's a traditional and artisan sardinian cheese, made using fresh goat milk, rennet and enzymes. It reminds to the taste of yogurt, but different. And if you dry it with salt it becomes "casu 'e fitta", the perfect ingredient to add to the minestrone soup.

Many times I have heard that someone decided to kiss someone else for the first time at the small marina of my town. Probably the silent, the peaceful atmosphere, the fresh and light breeze from the sea... I don't know why, but this is what often happens.

I want to declare these rooster 🐓 and chicken 🐔 the happiest in the world, since they are free and live under a big blossoming almond tree. Do you know another couple happiest than this? 😁

In this period (Carnival) in my town, and I think this is true for all the island, a new enemy for my body appears: zeppole! I still need to recover from my silly behaviours during Christmas... and all the streets with a pastry shop start to have the smell of this simple and very tasty sweet! 😣 Poor my heart!

Another beautiful Sunday morning at the beach! Breathing the air from the sea, full of iodine, it's my drug. And probably the one of a lot of people, since to find a parking place near the little port is always a big trouble 😁 But not a trouble for everyone, I feel everytime I reach the beach to meet much more horses. Let me hope the ancient time are coming back... and instead of a car we will move again using this wonderful animal!

Tonight for me 3 pieces of fresh mozzarella cheese with a particular shape that I never tried before. Well, I don't think a shape can make a difference, but I liked this new (useless) experience! 😁 (they are not so little.... it's the plate to be very large 😋)

Yesterday night I ate something I still regret to have eaten! Often they use the "limited edition" way to force you to buy something only for trying it. I avoid to fall in this trap, but not always. So I brought home a bag, arg!, of Tiramisù Ravioli!!! 😣 "A dessert that you do not expect" they wrote... and they were honest, I didn't expect this to be so disgusting! 😭😭😭😭😭 Inside the ingredients were eggs, cheese, mascarpone, chocolate, coffee, biscuits! I still regret to have bought. I still regret to have eaten. (I cannot believe who decided to do this has a job!)

Incredible how this part of my town is a desert during the day... and it becomes realltly crowded at night! Every place can be different, totally different, and for every place there is a time you could love and a time you could hate. For example I love it when it's desert and peaceful and I hate it when it's so full of people that I need to fight to cross it!

For a lot of time this medieval tower was closed for refurbish the wooden parts, so I'm glad to see it's like new now! There are 2 towers like this here, and it's amazing the view you can have on the top. One day I will go up to show you. 😉 In Italy the first sunday of the month monument are open for free (or at least before the pandemia 😣)... unfortunately I'm lazy and I never go 😁

I walk a lot and I run often. But I never do exercises... and I lived well anyway. Until, around 2 years ago, my friend suggested me to follow the course of this park, so I started from the number one. At the third, exactly this one, I felt a break on my back and I couldn't move anymore without feeling a lot of pain. My friend laughed so much... and I couldn't leave the bed for days. This is how started and ended my working out experience.

Today I'm spending the best Sunday an italian guy can have. 😁 A tranquill day, a good lunch, a football match, my team won, a cute walk. We are simple people! 😁 About the match... finally the team supported by the whole island, named Cagliari, was able to escape from the relegation zone beating a very strong opponent and playing with a lot of heart a wonderful game! Walking on the street, you can see a lot of smiles because of this 😋

Yesterday noise.cash and read.cash were not working on my mobiles!It didn't work using both WiFi and mobile data connections. I tried different browsers too, no way! And all the other sites worked normally, so I was very confused about the issue. This morning it was the same, so for the first time I thought, probably irrationally, that my journey on noise.cash was over and I didn't like that feeling 😭 But, a third mobile that I never used with noise let me see the site and login... and after this even the other 2 worked! I don't know what happened but I'm happy to be here again 😊
