Business ideas (part 2)

I do not know what businesses are a hit in other countries but here in the Philippines there are some that I have observed that have survived for the longest time. Again, this is just my opinion. A business or company will last long if the foundation of it is strong, the quality of their products will always be as good as how it is when they started and if their service will not be terrible as days go by. You can check the list of businesses or companies that I think would be a good investment:

Jollibee

Of course who would not know our famous happy bee, Jollibee. I cannot remember what year it is when we have inquired how much the franchise fee for Jollibee is but back then it was 5 million Pesos. Then after few years, it skyrocketed to 25 million Pesos. I guess now it would be almost a hundred million Pesos.

We may think that a hundred million is a huge amount of money but if you have a good location, your ROI may take less than a year. Don't even know if there is a Jollibee store that closed down due to bankruptcy. Ever since, Jollibee has been one of the top companies that my brother and I wanted to franchise. I am sure that you would agree with me that Jollibee is the best choice for a franchise.

Potato Corner

Potato Corner is one of the leading french fries and food cart business here in the Philippines that had expanded in other countries. Just like Jollibee, Potato Corner is Filipino's favorite. Well who does not like french fries right? I even had fried potatoes for 4 days straight recently. LOL. From french fries to potato wedges to potato mojos. I cooked it when my dad was sleeping so he cannot scold me. LOL. There's a Potato Corner just outside our subdivision however I wanted to save some money so I just cook my own.

I am not aware how much a Potato Corner package is worth but for a standard cart, initial investment is around Php263,200 (almost $5300) according to their website. Just looking at the digits makes me think of my credit card debt. I could have had my Potato Corner already if not only for my debts. Argh! Take note that this is just an initial investment so I do not know if there are other additional fees along the way but for me it is already a good deal already.

Turks

I do not know what your favorite shawarma is but for me, I love Turks' shawarma. I have tried other shawarmas but nothing compares to Turks. "Make it a Turks day." I just love their tagline. My brother and I saw that a lot of Filipinos also loved Turks. This is what my brother and one of my cousins would also want to franchise however, their franchise fee I know is a little competitive which is above 1 million Pesos (around $20,000) for a kiosk type. That was a few years ago. I do not know how much it costs now but I think it would still be on that range.

Milk tea shops

I do not know if milk tea is a hit in your country but here in the Philippines, it has been what the Filipinos have been raving for years. Based on my observation, milk tea business was one of the businesses that many Filipinos had started during the pandemic. I may not know the exact data but I am positive on this. Whether it was a franchised or a business that they have built from scratch, I can see a lot of milk tea shops in our area. I do not know how long the milk tea will be a trend to us Filipinos but I think the capital for this business would not cost millions. I am guessing that if you are to sell from home, capital would be around a hundred thousand Pesos (around $2,000). Not bad right? But if you are to have a store that is Instagram worthy, you might want to add a few more for the construction and furnitures.
