On the first part of my article, I have already shared 2 tips that we should know when we are going to join a bazaar and now I will continue with some that I can still remember from my experience decades ago.

3. Name and price your items

Yes, some people would know what you are selling especially if he/she is aware of it but how about for those who does not? Naming and pricing your items is something that would make your bazaar experience a little easier.

4. Promo

Just like in some other businesses, they do have a promo for their items. Either buy one, get one, 50% off or markdown prices, you have to have a promo wherein people would want to buy from you.

It was only during our last day when we had a promo just so we can sell everything that we have made. I cannot remember what our promo was but we gave a free product. Not really sure if it was a buy one, get one but I am certain that there was a free item.

5. Loose change

If you are selling something, you should prepare some loose change. All 4 of us were not ready for loose change. Good thing that my mom had some money that time and we were able to give the customer some change. I know we can ask from the other booths if they have a change for the bugger amount but would the customer like it if they are to wait? Yes, some people are understanding but there are those who doesn't. So be prepared to have some loose change of at least Php3,000.

6. Standout

Make your booth to standout. There are some event organizers who would just provide for a booth that is bare. Nowadays, people are more into aesthetic. If your booth is cute and catchy, it can attract the people. Also if your booth stands out, if they want to go back to it again, it would not be hard to look for as you have already made an impact to them. I know some event organizers will assign numbers to each booth organizers or they will ask you for the name of the booth but usually it goes unnotice. So whatever you are selling and whatever they had a glimpse on, it will stamp on their minds and chances are they will come back to your booth.

7. Don't be shy

One thing that I have learned from this experience is that you should never be shy. You need to greet to the people who will pass by your booth and sell to them your product. If you are going to just sit and wait for them to buy from you, it may take awhile not unless your product is today's trend.

I am actually a shy person. I usually am not the type of person who will initiate a conversation with somebody but because of my chosen career path, I have learned to not be shy though not totally 100% but I am happy that I sometimes do not feel that awkwardness in talking to the customers. This is something that I have observed from my brother, sister-in-law and her brother. They were still a little shy when dealing with their customers. I was observing them on what they will do when they had customers. Yes, they did greeted them but that was all. They were to shy to promote what they were selling and to even promote their Christmas baskets. There was a time that I talked to the customer and asked what she was looking for because I already felt that she was going to leave that she already made a hand gesture to her husband that the one that she was looking for was not there. It turns out that she was not able to see it as it was displayed at the lower shelf. And because I approached her, not only was she able to buy what she cam for but she had also bought some more items including the basket. Because of that, my brother was even more proud of me. That he really wanted me to stay and live there. LOL. I told him that he just have to put his shyness away. He has to think of making a sale than to be shy. Yes, he can talk to other people but when it comes to sales, he is too shy. I do not know if he has already put away his shyness but from what I have heard, they were able to sell most of their newest product yesterday. Good job to all of them!

I do not know if you have heard of it but it is "Pasok mga suki. Presyong Divisoria. Sampu-sampu, bente, trenta at iba pa". I was joking my mom and helper before when we had our garage sale to also say/sing it loudly so our neighbors can here that we have a garage sale. LOL. Though we did notify some of our neighbors by placing announcements in the posts of the main streets. It was usually the helpers, drivers who go to a garage sale in our neighborhood so it was easier to spread about it.

Sorry if I have to cut this again as I did not realize that I would be sharing a lot about my bazaar experience. Hope to see you again on my next article.
